Talking Trek: Star Trek Fleet Command

Hey folks! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Whether you celebrate ANY specific holiday or not, we wish you the best during this time, and hope that you've had the opportunity to spend time with those you love or doing things you love.... Maybe even spending some time in game running armadas with your team, or grinding reds in TygoKor, or grinding borg probes for the charged probes for the facti...

Tonight was a potpourri kinda night. We started the show late cause DJz had a birthday dinner for his 14 year old son. So we chat about that and about the festivities, and then we dive into a very casual conversation. Not any super amount of teaching tonight, but a message to Scopely for the holidays, as well as to the community regarding the Sarcophagus, and a potential strategy to try out. Plus,...

Today we gather after Panic's December state of the game to chit chat a little more in depth about the interview, look back upon 2020 and despite all the year's adversities, we have come together as a community with a common interest. We look into a few of the arcs of this past year and find out where people have been spending their time and which arc actually ended up interesting us the most in r...

Hey Galaxy! On Today, the final state of the game for the cluster of a year, 2020, Panic came on to talk about changes in the pvp events, the good and the bad iterations of it, and what changes are in store. Plus we dive into a little about compensation, CS and why certain things roll out the way they do. However, good things are in store in January as we begin relooking at a new round of server m...

Good day Star Trekkers! Today we discuss many things, including the volume of event store loot Scopely has been handing out. Is this the most "epic" event store we've ever had? Plus new brackets on the Lorca auction actually supply each server with 40% more shards, and more full unlocks than ever before. Scopely is getting in the Christmas Spirit? Plus we look at a little player testing on Lorca,...

Today we break down the 2 year Anniversary special stream with the Content Creators and Panic. We discuss the information we received there and break down and analyze what it all meant. Plus DJ sends a stern warning to Scopely HQ ABOUT the information released in the anniversary stream. Community engagement continues with the roundtable forum of questions and answers. all in all, a fun little welc...

Today on the show we spent some time talking about just about everything related to Territory Capture. A quick check of the map and services, particles, and mining nodes as we draw near to the launch of the particle events. Plus, we discuss lag and the tech improvements Scopely made this past week. It's a step in the right direction, but not all the way there yet. But one thing that we can do righ...

WARNING! EXPLICIT CONTENT! This After Party Episode contains explicit language and if applicable, should not be listened to by children.  Yes, DJz goes off. In an expletive laced commentary on RoE and how it's already complicating STFC. This community round table began with people enjoying a mechanically sound, albeit laggy, expansion. But some servers are already "policing" Origin Space. Is this...

Today we look forward in Territory Capture to at least one element that has yet to present itself in the game. The Particles needed for deeper researches on the tree. This has familiarity to the Stella Particles needed for research, but as of yet, we haven't seen these Surax, Quantom and Phantom particles introduced in the game. We've seen the Primes, but also have yet to know ANYTHING about the M...

Hey Galaxy! Today was day 1 of actual Territory Capture, Day 2 of the Discovery Arc 3. What have we learned? Today we break down do's and don't's of territory battles, how the currency is all related, and why you shouldn't be mining very much isogen. Plus, we take a look at a few researches and services and the impacts they're having. Why are armadas absolutely key? All this and more in today's sh...

Tonight we discuss what we know of Territory Capture and the newest information provided in the blog post about TC. New alliance materials, currencies, and strategies starting making their way into the conversation. Points and how they're accumulated, services, pathways, and scheduling were discussed, and finally, Panic surprised us all and joined the show last night to answer questions for about...

Today you didn’t get UltimatDJz. He was off, but that left you in the very capable hands of BgCountry, Karkun, and Grergor. Tonight you had unfettered access to a town hall Q&A with an ops 45 and a 49, and Karkun 🤣    thanks for filling in guys! And I’ll see you this Sunday!  visit our website for all things related to the show, www.talkingtrekstfc.online

Enjoy this community round table on research, expenses within the game, and which path players would like to see around fixing the game economy! Thanks as always for supporting the show, and enjoy this town hall style conversation.  Editorial Note: The After Party is Rated R for language; Discretion is Advised.

Galaxy, the focus of today's show lies in research. Yes we did discuss Trek or Treat (Happy Halloween everyone!) and we offered some feedback into the new alliance gifting metric, but the meat and potatoes today was centered around research, and the effect it has on the game. It's huge, but where is the FINANCIAL break even point for players? Yes it gives obvious benefits, but when does it actuall...

Hey Galaxy! Today's State of the Game was like none that have come before. Panic showed up ready to spill the beans on upcoming features and patches within the game. Today, he dove into GREAT detail on the upcoming Territory Capture update, and gave players some insight into how to prepare and what will be involved. If you've EVER wanted spoilers, listen to this show. Plus touching on Officer Away...

Today's show took a very odd turn, but you guys dove right in. Stella strategy. Now that we're 2 months over Stella's 3 month arc, what have we learned? Is there a better way to progress through the research? How do you obtain the particles faster? IS there truly a need for a 3rd Stella? Find out in today's in depth discussion into the infamous Outlaw ship. Plus a touch and recap on the monthly re...

Galaxy, if we've learned one thing over the last month, it's that PvP is becoming more of a thing with Scopely, and perhaps our methods of play need to rely less on Server contested RoE, and more on strategy, skill, and outsmarting your opponents. Some of you may already be pvp masters. Others may get out a notepad and take some serious notes. Contained within, PvP tactics for fighters, for more p...

Hey Galaxy! Here is part two of our podcast from Sunday evening, in which we go into a very mathematical deep dive on the new epic Georgiou card, Saru, and Stamets, and why all three of these officers are winners and must haves. Hey folks. Yet again, we lose ourselves in the passions of the game and find ourselves over on time. So in Part 1 of today's upload, we discuss a few things early regarding the gifts scopely sent us this week and why one was awesome, and one was that gift that ya know someone didn't put any thought into... Kinda like they say it in the checkout line at the grocery store one day and thought they'd...

Hey Folks! In an uncommon surprise for our community, we decided our content during this particular After Party show was worth of offering to folks for free. ABSOLUTELY free, and we thank those who participated in our round table. This episode was taped immediately following our interview with new CM Ares, and we had some reaction to that, a game of Yes or No with DJz, and some future speculation...

Hey Galaxy! Today we meet a new face.... or voice rather! Ares is the latest addition to the Community Manager team at Scopely, and today we sit down to find out a little bit about him, and why he is here, and perhaps even, why he will one day take Panic's job. haha Seriously though, we had some interesting questions and he had interesting answers in this sit down meet and greet with Ares.  Oh plu...

Here we wrap up the podcast started yesterday by discussing the future roadmap, what it could mean, how it could manifest and what we want to see with these possible futures! Plus a brief insight into the new officers and how they perform. Wrapping up our longest podcast ever here in Part 2. Thanks for sticking with us through the extra content! Visit the website to find Part 1 of this episode at...

Any more numbers we can fit in the title? Today contained much needed conversation from the community regarding everything that happened this week, from the Roadmap update, to the SLB event, to the PVP event and all things in between. You had a lot to say, and because of that, this showwent on WAY too long! So we cut it up, and the second part will be here tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy Part 1 o...
