Talking Naruto Shippuden

It's time for fillers! Benel and Lawson postulate about the new world post-corona (viz a ve sneezing fetish), we catch up with Asuma, the team gets their new mission, and we meet Sora of the fire temple! 

Somehow Naruto Shippuden manages to make training episodes some of the most interesting in the series! Come sit under the learning tree of Kakashi as Naruto and the audience finally learn how chakra works and the various elements of chakra nature combination. Also, Yamato is also there! 

Sasuke gets the ol' rocket strap on these episodes where literally everyone jobs out to him one after another, including the nine-tailed fox spirit, Sai and the concept of free will! We're out of the main plot with these episodes and readying ourselves for our first set of fillers!

Hey folks! We've messed up the numbering of our episodes, so you might hear some of that confusion in the upcoming episodes. Either way, we've got it sorted and we'll be numbering our Shippuden episode appropriately. 

Team Leaf reaches the Tenchi Bridge and everything goes swimmingly. Lolno, Orochimaru shows up and Naruto turns into the Nine-Tails! That and Benel and Lawson do bits! 

The team has gathered and it's off to a mission with Sai and Yamato filling out the rest of Team 7. Who is the mysterious Yamato and why is Sai so obsessed with genitalia? The team spends some time getting to know each other, play war games and make their way to the faithful meeting at Tenchi Bridge. 

Zach Snow joins us once again for this slate of episodes. It's the fallout of the Gaara retrieval arc! We do wrestling references and meet...Sai...and Yamato before we start our next arc! 

We're edging to the final part of the Gaara retrieval arc with Chiyo's noble sacrifice! Plus we talk about Takemaru and his wonderous, magical life! 

Extra long episode this week as we're joined by our resident Naruto expert correspondent Zach Snow (@zacharysnow01) as we go through the post Sasori fight scrum. Kakashi and Naruto take on Deidara in a fitting climax and we talk other animes with our favorite frienemy! 

The final episodes of the Sasori fight with high drama, tension, and a long discussion about the film of Mel Brooks. What more can you ask for? Flame-throwers for hands? It's an episode that makes you yell "hell yeah" every other moment! 

Lawson and Benel talk about the amazing Lady Chiyo-Sakura/Sasori fight! This is a great slate of episodes that have the hosts completely hype. Sasori is an underrated villain and Benel and Lawson talk about it along with puppets, Brooklyn Battle Comedy and men shouldn't talk.

Lots happen in these sets of episodes: Gaara dies, team Leaf reunite and breaks into the Akatsuki's liar and the team of Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi and Chiyo face down Deidara and Sasori over Gaara's corpse. It's a tense series of episodes that set up a wonderful Sasori fight!

The Sand Village holds a primary as soon as Gaara is kidnapped! Also, Team Leaf has a fateful run-in with Itachi and Kisamae of the Akatsuki! Also, Benel and Lawson gives advice for the boudoir (gentlemen!). Also also, Might Guy drops science! 

It's a Sakura heavy episode this week when Team Leaf heads to the Sand village, we get more information about the Honored Siblings of the Sand, and Sakura plays "House"...Doctor House! 

"Traps are made so people will fall into them" Truer words are never spoken as Deidara and Sasori escape the sand village with a captured Gaara, with Konkurro on their tail! Who is the mysterious puppet-master Sasori? Also, Takumaru the fucking messenger bird from the Sand shows up and the Leaf Ninjas don't know how knots work! And Team Kakashi gets a new mission. 

We're gonna eat her words here because these episodes are way better than we remember. It's the Gaara/Deidara fight to determine who loses to Sasuke later in the series! It's an amazing fight with explosions, sand ninjas, sky-fights! 

And so it begins! Benel and Lawson finally talk Naruto Shippuden and the first three episodes of the landmark series! The boys love this hot start to the series, discuss Naruto's return to the leaf village, the Kakashi vs Sakura and Naruto and Deidara's sexual mouth-hand!

We do and this were our favorites and least favorite stories from our time watching the non-canon episode of Naruto. 

It's the final episodes of the Naruto series and Benel and Lawson feel oddly wistful about these finally, but it doesn't stop them from ridiculing the awful filler villain for this arc.
