Talk Until The Joy is Gone

Reggie gets his revenge on Rooney for last week's film, and chose the outlying Kevin Smith film Red State . We finally finish the a trilogy we started way back in episode 3 , by watching Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End . And whilst we know we love to go off on tangents, we were really on one this week, because we struggled to stay on topic, and spent half the episode just rambling (we blame the heat.... again). We talked about football, ghosts, and the application of the Jack Sparrow Methodolog...

We return to the MCU for the slightly under-whelming sequel, Iron Man 2, taking time to discuss the highs and lows of thisfoundation of the Marvel juggernaut. Somehow we also manage to include discussions about the Tory leadership contest, the Questionable Content webcomic, the Gimp Man of Essex, some business planning, and do a little plugging of our merch!

Amidst record-breaking heat waves, we got together and discussed the surfing/bromance/crime/action romp, Point Break! But before that we spoke about some other stuff, such as: Music Merch Crossdressing Reggie Piracy Kenobi (the series and the book) Space Arks and Princess Di mastubation groups...

This week we braved the heat to get together and talk about the early noughties dystopian sci-fi film Equilibrium . And obviously because we couldn't talk about a film for two hours (probably), we also talked staying-up late, the discovery of a new god, another Great Woman of History (this time Mary Anning), Shadow People, and beach trips!

For episode 111 we dip back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the foundation to the entire empire: Iron Man. We tried something new this week, and got drunk at Rooney's 40th Birthday rather than watching/reading anything. To celebrate the second anniversary of TUTJIG, we decided to just chat rubbish for two hours! We have some moaning (about work and other things), "Sex is nice, but...", a lot of rambling, weird news (including incest), a dead kitten (!) and more of Rooney's accents....

For episode 103 we took another recommendation from a listener, and watched the lesser-appreciated Nicholas Cage Marvel movie, Ghost Rider . Suffice to say Reggie was not impressed! Along the way we also spent about half an hour talking about food and, travel, before moving on to ghostly voices, sex-toy hickies, OnlyFans, porn, Reggie lamenting not being an attractive woman, and Rooney outs himsel...

This week we inhaled deeply on the metaphorical bong of Pineapple Express , and for a wonder, didn't just spend the whole time arguing in favour of legalising weed! We did however get in some moaning about work, defending Reggie's mum, learning about a Great Woman of History/Now , and alternate future Nazi coins.

For episode 101, we decided to revisit a classic, if only to stop Reggie moaning about the score he gave it way back in Episode 6. So we watched Predator again, so that we can hopefully do it justice (now that we have some idea of what we're actually doing as podcasters!). Along the way, we also managed to turn TUTJIG into a full-on cult, complete with glorious leaders, and jobs for those elevated...

Achievement unlocked: 100 episodes! We've officially made it to triple figures! For episode 95 Rooney indulges his nostalgia, and we watched the 80's sci-fi classic Robocop .
