We have reached the end again. Today, we gather one last time to share our final impressions and thoughts on season 36, Survivor Ghost Island. Much like last season, the finale got mixed reviews.   This season really needed something to help redeem the mediocre second half. The finale included another first in Survivor history, and one of the best bluffs we have ever seen at a Tribal Council. The pacing was rapid with back to back to back Immunity Challenges and stole a half hour from the Reunion show to finish out the season. But would it be enough? What did you think of the challenges? Just as the super fans predicted last week, the penultimate episode delivered another "lackluster" performance from Laurel and Donathan who only managed to conjure up more "veiled" threats, squandered any remaining "win equity" they had mustered at the merge, and watched the last of their "social capital" circle the drain. All hope is not lost though. We are looking forward to a few more surprises...

  "Trusting your gut" does not amount to much if you have not laid the foundation with a solid social game. Based on the majority of the feedback, this will be the point in the game that we look back on as Laurel and Donathan's big, missed opportunity. We just knew it was going to happen eventually. That day his fans had dreaded finally arrived. It's time to "pour one out" for one of this season's hands down favorites, a young man that earned respect as a super fan and a smart Survivor player that some of us initially, grossly underestimated.
