In the final week of our series 1 Peter - A Gospel Shaped Life Ps Greg looks at chapter 5. We see that in this Peter concludes by encouraging the church to stand firm and follow the example of Jesus. We are to do this by remaining humble and handing our cares and worries over to Jesus.

Ps James continues the sermon series on 1 Peter this week by looking at 1 Peter 4:7-19. We see that as we live our life attuned to Christ and his will we can expect to suffer for what we believe. We are encouraged by the knowledge that as we suffer for our faith the Spirit of God is with us.

Ps Simon continues the sermon series on 1 Peter this week by looking at 1Peter 4:1-6. We are challenged to consider how we spend our days. In the light of Christ's death and resurrection are we continually pursuing Christ, living attuned to His will?

Ps Margo continues the series on the book of 1 Peter by showing how Peter encourages us to live differently to those around us. We are to seek peace, to do good and not to take revenge on those who hurt us. Instead we are to follow the example of Jesus, making sure He is central in our lives and remembering that He has overcome sin and death and now reigns in glory.

Ps Simon continues our series 1 Peter - A Gospel Shaped Life, looking at how we should deal with those in authority and in relationship with us. He brings a radical message - we are to honour and respect the godly and the ungodly alike!

This week Ps Greg continues the series on 1 Peter. As he shares from 1 Peter 2:1-12 he points out that Christ is the cornerstone, the foundation for our lives. As we turn to Jesus we are made a part of God's church and are to live as priests who declare the praises of God.

Ps Greg continues our series 1 Peter - A Gospel Shaped Life. We see in 1 Peter 1:13-25 we are challenged to be holy because God is holy. Peter tells us practical steps we need to take, to be ready and prepared for action and then act with intent.

This week Ps Margo starts the book of 1 Peter. We see in chapter 1 that we have a living hope and a certain inheritance through the salvation that Jesus has brought us. Even though we go through trials we know God is with us and that these trials help to show the strength of our faith.

This week join with us as Ps Greg continues to look at Peter's life. We see that Peter hits a low point in his journey when he denies that he even knows Jesus. We then see the love of God as Peter is restored and goes on to lead the Church. Be encouraged by the depth of God's forgiveness and restoration!

This week guest preacher Ps Luke Fletcher from River's Edge Church, Sydney shared from the book of Acts about how the church should look. As the people of God we are to gather together, be filled with the Spirit and then we are sent out to reach others with the good news of Jesus.

Simon continues our latest series as he shares how Christ radically challenged the culture and turned everything 'Upside Down' when he made a point of making women a large part of His ministry on earth! At Horizon we have a rich legacy of women in leadership and it continues to be a place that values the role women play in leading our church.

This week Ps Margo takes us through the Beatitudes that Jesus taught His followers. We see how Jesus flips how a person is to live upside down by concentrating on the internal qualities a disciple is to have. Rather than just follow a set of rules we are to be people changed by a close living relationship with God.

In this message Ps James kicks off a new series "Upside Down". In this series we'll be exploring the way Jesus teaches us that the Kingdom of God is radically different to this current world! In this first message Ps James challenges us to be people who forgive others.

This week our guest preacher Ps Allan Davis continues our focus on discipleship. As he shares from Matthew 16:24-25 he points out that to be a disciple we need to follow Jesus by being close to Him and imitating Him.

In the final week of our Discipleship series Ps James speaks of the Church and shares how it is one body made up of many parts. As the church we are to live lives that show the love of Christ.
