So much is happening in our world. In the wake of yet another school shooting, what is the Christian supposed to do? Pastor Doug makes the argument that it is time for the church to wake up and stand up. Sin is not a personal predicament, it is a church-wide wake up call.

Who do you remember from the Bible? As easy as it is to remember the failures, we also remember the winners because of their resolution to God. Jesus has called us to be people that stand firm to the end. How can we be better committed to His cause?

Have you ever wanted to do something for God but felt inadequate? Zechariah prophesied to encourage Zerubbabel. When people criticized the work he was doing, God spoke. "Not by might, nor by power..." God wants to do something through you, but His Spirit will enable the victory.

Jesus came so that we could have abundant life. This is life better than we could ever achieve. God wants us to extend that life to others. If life and death are in the power of the tongue, how can we be life givers through our words?

What comes to mind when thinking of the word "generous?" Money comes to the minds of most. However, generosity entails much more than worldly wealth. Jesus calls us to be generous, not only with our money but with our lives as well.

Millions of people, every Easter, celebrate the resurrection. For many, this is just another holiday, another opportunity to get something. The story of Jesus is so much more than another holiday tale. The resurrection represents promises from God for every person willing to say, "yes."

Is the God of the Old Testament the same God in the New Testament? Some people find it difficult to reconcile the image of God that spans across the covenants. Pastor Doug argues that God has always ever been a God of love. He demonstrated His love for us through the sacrifice of Jesus.

What is the cost of following Jesus? For many, the cost will be very little or nothing at all. For some, the cost is everything. Many have given their lives for the Gospel. What does Jesus say? The cost is high, and he invites us to consider the cost before committing.

Christians can utilize peace as a powerful weapon against the enemy. The question, for most people, is, "how do I get peace in the first place?" The answer from Scripture declares that this peace comes from the Holy Spirit within us. When life squeezes the Christian, peace should come out, not evil.

In this message, Pastor Doug talks about the importance of righteousness to our walk with Christ. How can the breastplate of righteousness protect us in the fight against Satan? Righteousness can help guard our hearts, just like a breastplate.

In this message, Pastor Doug speaks on the helmet of salvation. A helmet protects the head of a soldier. In the same way, we need our salvation to guard our minds and help keep us in the straight and narrow when the world wants to give us a lie.

In this message, Pastor Doug talks about the shield of faith and its importance. We cannot build our shield on our own. We must get in contact with the giver of faith, as well as other shield bearers. Only then can we withstand the attacks of the enemy.

In this episode, Pastor Doug talks about the belt of truth and its role in spiritual warfare. The enemy, Satan, is like a lion looking for someone to devour. In this battle, he attacks our emotions. The truth of God is the truth we need to overcome his attacks.

When someone accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they are suddenly thrust into a battle for their soul. Instantaneously, they become part of an eternal conflict between God and Satan. How is the Christian to participate in this battle, and how can she protect herself? We are called to wear the armor of God. By equipping ourselves, we can withstand the attacks from the devil.

The Christmas story begins with people following a star and angels. But Jesus, the New Born King calls us to follow him. In a world filled with distracting messages, Christ calls us to make Him the first thing we follow.

Words are powerful. They have the ability to heal and destroy. This is the principle behind Biblical blessing and cursing. In the book of Numbers, the Moabite King, Balak, attempted to hire the famous seer, Balaam, to curse Israel. But because God had blessed them, Balaam was unable to do anything. Similarly, Christians share in the blessing of Abraham. What God has blessed, no man can curse.

Honor is not just a noun, it is a verb. But honoring is something very hard to do–especially when someone is not acting in a way worthy of respect. However, when we serve God, we forfeit the ability to choose honor. In this message, we learn from the example of David what it means to honor those that may not honor us in return.

What's in a word? Pastor Doug talks about one of the hardest tasks that a person can do: Tame the tongue. The Bible says that the tongue is a powerful tool, used for both good and evil. How can we use our words for good and not evil?
