God crafted his commandments with love and gave it to us to help us reach home together as a united community.  Lets listen to what he says in today's readings .

Obeying God. Last Sunday we learnt that God is in control and his covenant of salvation with us. If we believe God has our best interest at heart, then we need to learn how to obey him which is the theme to today's readings . The word "obedience" comes from Latin and means "to listen intently". It means to be attentive to the ways in which God reveals himself and to respond...

Let God be your guide:  This Sunday we begin the season of Lent, a time of preparation for the celebration of Easter, the most important season in the church's calendar. Today's readings help us to realize that God governs the world and overseas each person' life.  Are you ready to place yourself under God's guidance?

Enduring Suffering.  This Sunday's reading all feature the theme of suffering.  In its countless and diverse forms, it inevitably is part of our daily lives. Guided by God's word, we can face suffering with confidence and trust.  Come and God will give you rest. 

True Authority. This Sunday's readings focuses on true God-given authority. Moses, Paul and Jesus spoke with this authority and were empowered to act as God's servants and spoke his words fearlessly. As such, they were able to fulfil God's will and accomplish God's purposes in this world.

Change of  Heart:  This Sunday's readings ask us to repent and undergo a change of heart.  This change begins with listening to the voice of God attentively and to respond to it through a change in the focus of our lives.

Rejoice! It is Gaudete Sunday. Think of all the graces big and small the Lord has given us. Despite the challenges we face day to day, in the end, our Father will not let us down. Keep praying, rejoicing and spreading the good news. https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/121723.cfm

Repent, change and make straight your way for the Lord while there is still time.  Ask the holy spirit for the Lord to guide you to be the person he wants you to be.

The theme is Thanksgiving as we wait. 

Rejoice!  Christ the King is here for the final judgement.  God will lead his sheep to  restful waters and will refresh your soul.  But before that, Jesus asks when he was hungry and thirsty, were you there for him?  Join us to understand how to be prepared for our final judgement. 

Be prepared and develop your love for the Lord. It is the second last Sunday of the year.  It is really time to prepare and develop your love for the Lord.  The readings will teach us how to fear and love the Lord.

Be Prepared!  It is the last three Sundays of the liturgical year and the final three parables of Jesus.  Come and listen to help us prepare for eternal life.

Practice what you preach.  It was not easy and it is still not easy.  Jesus invites us to discover in the readings how to overcome this.

In a world filled with conflicts and turmoil, we really need to come together, put our differences aside.  The readings of Mission Sunday shows us the way.  Jesus says "I am with you always".   

God invites you to a feast where there will be choice wines and rich food in verdant pastures near restful waters.  He will wipe away every tear from your eyes.  Will you join him without conditions?  Listen as we hear the readings for this Sunday

Sour grapes.  This week's readings are interesting in that it raises the question of what can make us go against God's commands.  What produces sour grapes in God's vineyard and how we can change that.  This is timely as the Synod is also trying to address the same issue through prayer, listening, and walking together with compassion.

Forgiveness ... such a hard word but we all need it. It is like the air we breathe. Come join us to see how this week's readings help us to forgive and to receive forgiveness from one another.
