The Devil talks.  He talks to believers.  That can be a scary thought.  But, it’s not like we are defenseless.  We have the truth on our side.  So, how do you handle the Devil?  What do you say when he comes knocking?  This week we continued our classic sermon series … “What to Say When the Devil Talks to You”.

No one can live apart from God.  The Bible teaches “you reap what you sow”.  We can not live anyway we want to live and expect no repercussions.  The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus took the consequences for us.  For those that do not accept this good news, there is a payday coming.  As, R.G. Lee famously said, “Payday Someday”.

“Whatever”!  In the 80’s this word became the catch phrase for the apathetic.  It was the “I don’t care” anthem.   But, in the book of Philippians the word takes on a much broader meaning.  “Whatever” is an all encompassing word.  It’s the training ground for the Christian mind.
