In which I ramble through some current ragged thoughts with an intent to inspire and to encourage you in these difficult days. This is a message of hope for people in a hopeless world. Enjoy. I'd love to hear from you. 

There were two people. Which are you?

I turned ten in 1968. It was an unusual year.

When I was about thirty an experienced pastor gave me some really sound advice. The other day it came back to me in a humorous way. Here's there story. 

Today I want to tell you a cluster of stories about an old fiddler named Charlie, a friend named John, a book that changed my life and a chair that was a work of art. Settle in. You may need some coffee or sweet tea with this one. 

Everywhere you turn is noice. Everyone has a opinion. They are sure they are right, but few of them agree with one another. At a time like this it is good to have a place where you can be quiet. 

Back in the late 80's I pastored a village church in Ohio. It was there I met Dorothy who taught me a couple lessons I have never forgotten. Now I am going to pass them on to you. I hope you never forget.

Many years ago in the kind providence of God I was blessed to work with Pastor Larry Whiteford. He taught me a lot. Here is a favorite memory and in important lesson that I have never forgotten.
