In a recent interview with Ewan McGregor, it seems he acknowledged that the Star Wars prequels were not very much liked. I think that this has changed a lot, today, and the prequels are indeed very much loved and praised. I'm sad to see that he feels the majority of people dislike them. In The Clone Wars Season 7, many have exclaimed that Anakin Skywalker isn't in it very much at all.
