Star Wars Escape Pod

The FINAL installment in the "Skywalker Saga"... Or so Disney marketed it to be. Not only 15 years ago we remember fondly when Revenge of the Sith was marketed simply "The saga is complete". As a fan, in my personal opinion it's been trying times to see this sequel trilogy unfold. Walking out of this film I thought "whelp, what's done is done". I never once thought I'd be saying that about any sta...

The most controversial star wars film has reached us on the list of our chronological viewing order of the saga. Stay tuned at the end where we play footage of his reasoning for this. Now this film did break records,...

The first movie that kicked off the sequel trilogy was an extremely hyped film. Despite stellar reviews, some star wars fans (such as myself) knew it might be the beginning of a very different sort of trilogy than what we had seen before. Personally this trilogy is not my favorite in any way shape or form but it's still star wars, so we took our fair criticism to the commentary track and decided n...

The final film the original trilogy set a new bar for the pacing of films - modern films... lightsaber duels + starship battles + ground battle = "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi". This is my personal favorite of the original trilogy and remains to be the iconic film in which audiences around the world saw the redemption of Anakin Skywalker for the first time in 1983. Join Josh, Blake, an...

The saga is complete. They were the last 4 words of commercial advertising that many of us fans took to heart that this was very likely going to be the last star wars movie ever made. That obviously isn't true now looking back at the last 5 years today with 5 more live action films in the count and many more on the way... But Episode 3 was the last one that George Lucas ever made. It's my personal...

"You never would have made it as Obi-Wan's Padawan... but you might make it as mine" - Anakin Skywalker We have indeed reached the climactic ending of Star Wars The Clone Wars. It's bitter sweet and it's so hard to see it come to an end. But there is something special knowing that it's one window of George Lucas star wars that has been made complete thanks to Lucasfilm for bringing the show back a...

It's been a while since we last heard from Ahsoka, where did she go when she left the order and what has she been doing? More importantly, what has she learned? When she walked away from the Jedi she made a bold choice, and it represented her opinion of the Jedi and how she'd been hurt, she didn't let her feelings cloud her judgment she 'had to figure things out on her own' as she put it to Anakin...

The next episodes that we chat about on our Clone Wars Talk series are included in the Dark Horse / Marvel Comics trade paper back "Star Wars: Darth Maul - Son of Dathomir" . This comic book adapted the next arc of four episodes which belonged to either season 6/7 from Star Wars The Clone Wars. Thanks to this story arc, a large gap is filled, the last time we saw Maul he was being tortured by Palp...

The Clone Wars Legacy project adapted 8 episode scripts into a brilliant novel called Dark Disciple and this SUPER episode is an insane in depth walk through and talk about that book designed for anyone who hasn't read the novel particularly.  If you have read the novel then it might not be anything new to you but I'm going to do my best to entertain all regardless with this one. If you've never r...

When season 6 was cancelled half way through, some great people at Lucasfilm got together and decided on a few ways to give us those next few episodes regardless. This last project to continue the show was called The Clone Wars Legacy, (and yes it's still canon and not to be confused with the "legends" banner). Three arcs were adapted into material we could still consume, the first of these three...
