Within the book of Philippians, there are so many gems of how we should cherish our salvation and our walk with the Lord. Paul is thankful and in prayer for his fellow believers who are sharing the gospel of Jesus. This is a great reminder to us that when the true gospel is shared, some people are not going to agree or like it. However, it should be a great privilege and joy for us to do the same...

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves...

A Father’s Exhortation: Acquire Wisdom Part 2 We are continuing with Proverbs 1, which is a father encouraging his son to obtain wisdom and how to stay on the right path. But these scriptures are also very relevant to us as we are encouraged by the Lord to always seek wisdom.

My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them! [Proverbs 1:10] When I looked up the word exhortation – it appears to mean to encourage. I love this because this chapter is about a father encouraging his child to obtain wisdom, just as the Lord encourages us to obtain wisdom.

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.  [Romans 5:1 ] We have so much to be thankful for and to be full of joy. God is so gracious and good to us. Every single day we can choose to have joy, peace, and life because of Jesus.

I believe the Lord put this on my heart to study and talk about this message in depth because there is so much fluffy teaching out there right now.  People are confused about who God is, or they are mocking Him, or they are claiming to be a “Christian” when they are not true believers.

Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. [Proverbs 4:7] I don’t know about you, but I want as much wisdom as I can get to live now in these current times. The Word of God is the only place where true wisdom is found especially in the book of Proverbs.
