This week John wraps up our Sermon on the Mount series - exploring how Jesus not only describes the Kingdom of God but also demonstrates it. Revealing himself to be the only one with authority to enact the Kingdom.

Matthew 7:1-6

Beth walks us through Jesus's call for us to ask him with childlike curiosity, seek him wholeheartedly & knock on the doors of the impossible.

Following on from last week, Jo continues our journey of the heart through Matthew 6. Looking at religious practises, this week focusing on prayer and fasting. She draws out some of the pitfalls we can find in prayer and fasting and looks at the remedy to these temptations.

John continues our series following the sermon on the mount.

After last week John continues to speak on 'The way of the heart', specifically speaking about relationships by unpacking Jesus case studies of Murder, Adultery, and Divorce. John gives us an invitation to deepen our own relationships, and through repentance receive Gods value for each one of us.

John continues or series throughout the sermon on the mount by looking at Jesus as the fufilment of the law and the prophets, and how this challenges us to look deeper into the way of out own hearts.

After the excitement of the Easter narrative, Jo speaks on the power encounter with the risen Jesus on the Road to Emmaus, asking the question : “Will you give me your heart and do you want mine?”

Following Good Friday and Holy Week, Jo walks us though the Story of Easter Sunday and what His resurrection means for us today.

This week Tom continues our series on the Sermon on the Mount. Tom unpacks our need to be pure in heart and invites us to ask God to explore the ‘soil’ and ‘hidden rooms’ of our lives. Tom explores how Mary pouring out her perfume at the feet of Jesus is a beautiful picture of pure heart and how she gives us an example to follow today.

This week John explores the fifth beatitude, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” John invites us to think about what a merciful community truly looks like and how kind Jesus is in giving us his mercy.

This week Becca continues our journey through the Beatitudes. She invites us to engage with our discontent and longing for the world to experience God’s right way, in the promise and hope that God will fill that very longing.

In this preach, Jo unpacks how the Beatitudes are Jesus’ ‘Great Reversal’ of the ways of this world. She explores how instead of the strong, violent and powerful, it is the meek and those who live surrendered lives who will inherit the Kingdom of God. Jo concludes with an invitation for us all to surrender and accept our meek state before God.
