This week, Phil who is a member of the St Matts Family gave us a talk as part of our Summer Reads series. Phil based his talk on the book Waking the Dead by John Eldredge. 

Mike kicked off our new 'Summer Reads' series looking at the book Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund, looking at Jesus heart for his children — a saviour who deals gently his people, who LOVES to forgive,  and who is always advocating for us.

Preachtastic – Portia Crossley | It’s Time to Dream Again This week we had a Preachtastic Sunday where we invite some members from the wider Church family to speak to us on something God has placed on their heart.  Portia based her talk on Genesis 37:3-11 and is looking at how Dreams Are To Help Us Live In The Present, Dreams Take Time & Dreams Are About So Much More.

This week, our Curate Reuben Crossley is speaking on Luke 15:11-24. Commonly called the Prodigal Son, this parable of Jesus testifies to the breathtaking characteristics of our living "true" Father... the real prodigal. The characteristics of grief, forgiveness and generosity are explored. Finally the question "who are we being called to 'father'?" is highlighted.
