God will use any means in order to bring us closer to Him. Sometimes this may shock us and we may be alarmed to what extents this stretches to, but if our whole lives are truly devoted to spending eternity with Him then why should this scandalise us?

We often seek fulfilment and pleasure in anything besides our Bridegroom. We daily, commit adultery with everything in this world and join ourselves together with unclean spirits and yet forsake our Lord Christ. And yet, He still remains faithful to us, always ready to forgive and to embrace us with His love whenever we return to Him in true repentance.

God is inviting us to realise how lost we are. If our hearts are not filled with love to others then we are lost and are in desperate need of His mercy.

It is necessary for us to experience temptation in order that God may reveal treasures to us that we would never encounter unless we had faced temptation.

What can we add to our lives by worrying? Sufficient is the evil in the day. Fr Dan reminds us of the words of Christ instructing us not to worry, since it can do us no good. Rather instead to trust that God will provide for us in whatever way is befitting to Him, for anything that comes from His hand is good.

Being simple in our faith allows us to move out of the way and for God to instill in us His love, desire and will.

Reading from the Acts of the Apostles in today's readings we can see the transformation of our beloved St Paul. How in a moment of meeting with the Lord, his whole life changed. King Manasseh an OT king also experienced this great repentance and his whole life then became dedicated to God. May the Lord help us all to have these moments of repentance every single day.

Everything of ours must be within His Light. When we begin to live in His Light it seems as though nothing changes and yet everything begins to change. Unbeknownst to us the end goal of our lives begins to be Christ and His Kingdom.

God speaks in the silence. Only when we are truly silent, not just outwardly but inwardly can we begin to hear His voice. In this New Year may the Lord grant us to learn the gift of silence so that we may draw nearer to Him.

Join us as we celebrate the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Feast of Nativity. May our Lord bless us and always be in our midst and may He be birthed within all of our hearts each and every single day as we devote our lives to Him in reverence and worship.

It's easy to be distracted especially in the liturgy. But is God truly our number one? Does He hold the first place in our lives or have we set something else above Him? As it nears Christmas its a wonderful time for us to reflect on this and to ask God to help us if He is not our Number One.

Seeing our Most Holy Mother respond to Archangel Gabriel with such humility shouldn't discourage us, but rather should motivate us to become more like her. She is our great example and a saint who we can all aspire to become and also who we can call on in our prayers.

Are we prepared? Have we taken this fast as a time of preparing our hearts to receive our Lord? As the time nears to our Lord Jesus Christ's Incarnation, it is a wonderful time for us all to examine the state of our souls and see whether we have made room for Him.
