Readings: 1 Samuel 2:22-36; Luke 2:22-40 Synopsis: Nigel expands on Simeon’s example in the passage from Luke reminding us that following Christ is a daily commitment throughout our earthly lives. Simeon had waited a long time, but expectantly for God’s consolation which came through Christ. When Christ arrived in his last days he was still filled with rejoicing.
