Sometimes our lives take our focus off of God and His glory, and it is not until the circumstances of our lives leave us no choice but to be drawn to or return to Him. The worship of God requires us to honestly evaluate our hearts and our priorities.

In the end, God wins. We will reap all the benefits of God’s victory if we walk in the new life He gives us in Christ.

There is an important difference between empty religious activity and authentic life change.

God can restore what has been destroyed by sin if we turn and live for Him wholeheartedly.

Like Joshua, we are justified and cleansed because of God’s grace, and Satan’s accusations against us are rendered powerless.

All that is necessary to be near to God is repentance, and God’s nearness is our good.

Zechariah’s message to a discouraged Israel was simple: God is faithful and He is in charge. When we are reeling after a difficult season, these same truths give us a firm foundation on which to stand.

Reconciliation often involves two dimensions, personal and material. In most cases, it is best to use a cooperative approach which seeks to find mutually beneficial solutions, but as we find in Philippians 2:1-18, sometimes the best approach is a simple willingness to put the interests of others first.

Biblical forgiveness is not a matter of feeling better toward an offender, or a matter of forgetting or excusing behavior. God expects us to forgive others exactly the same way that He has forgiven us through Christ, and Matthew 18:21-35 demonstrates just how important forgiveness is for us and for others!

Although it is often the case that the faults and sins of others are overlooked, there are times when doing so only prolongs alienation and encourages them to continue acting in a hurtful manner. If God is being dishonored, relationships are being damaged, or others are being hurt, Matthew 18:15-20 offer us steps for how to address grievous sin.

To be an effective peacemaker, you must deal honestly with your own faults. In 1 and 2 Samuel we are given three examples of what it looks like to deal with your faults. In each, we will learn more about guidelines for having a cleansing process that will enable us to be better prepared and able for God to work in and through you and your relationships.

Whenever there is conflict, it is critical to consider how you may be contributing to the problem, either directly or indirectly. Before focusing on what others have done wrong, it is wise to reflect on Matthew 7:1-6, and carefully examine the way you have been thinking, speaking and acting.

One of the easiest ways to be the opposite of a peacemaker is to have unrealistic expectations. In Proverbs 31:10-21 we are invited to look at a picture of wisdom and measured expectations. If we want to live at peace with ourselves and others in the world, we need to come to terms with who we are and what we should pursue in order to live well in this world.

Some conflicts can be properly resolved only through confrontation, confession, forgiveness and negotiation. But there are many more that can be properly resolved by simply overlooking minor offenses. 1 Peter 4:7-11 is a reminder that each of us can choose to relinquish our rights for the benefit of strengthening a relationship and for the sake of God’s kingdom.

The message given by Jesus and the apostles is very clear – whether our conflicts involve minor irritations or major legal issues, peace and unity are of great importance to God! Peace-making is not an optional activity, especially for Christ-followers, and as we find in Matthew 5:21-26, it has a significant impact on our worship!

In 1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1, the apostle Paul teaches that conflict provides opportunities to glorify God, to serve others, and to grow to be like Christ. This concern for faithfulness to God, compassion and mercy toward others, and righteous behavior is echoed throughout the Bible.

Humans cannot live without hope. Hope is an essential part of our everyday lives, and knowing the hope that Christ provides is the key to living a full life! Join us this Easter for a message that will impact how you live today, and is sure to transform how you live for tomorrow!

In Ezekiel chapter 15, God asks a series of rhetorical questions designed to show us that it is the fruit in our lives with which He takes pleasure and finds value. Without fruit in our lives, there is no evidence we have a relationship with Him and we are on our own.

Who's fault is it when a people are led astray by corrupt leaders? The short answer is probably "everyone." The longer answer is that we might be asking the wrong question. While we want to focus on who is at fault, God wants us to turn to Him. In Ezekiel 8-11 we see that God promises us a new heart and spirit as we turn to him.

The Lord has watchmen in place to bring a word to his people. From Ezekiel 3:14-27 we see that it is God's desire for His people to have a change of heart, and in chapters 4-7 we see how He will use a variety of ways to speak this to them.
