Usually when we hear from Jess Myers (Pioneer Press) we get to talk hockey but he’s officially on the Twins beat in Milwaukee. Both Correa and Buxton are on the concussion list but the Twins have a chance to make it 13 wins in a row tonight. They also reminisce about Milwaukee’s Old County Stadium.

Steve Thomson gets his update on the outdoors with Steve Carney followed by a chat with Chris Hine about the Wolves returning to the WCF. Lindsey and Steve also get into some golf talk withe the PGA Championship underway.

Steve Carney and Steve Thomson get together to talk about the great outdoors to kick off every show. Carney is still flying high from a great opener weekend. The wind has been prohibitive ever since and he’s itching to get back on the water. He also touches on how the fish are affected by weather inconsistencies.

Bobby Nightengale covers the Twins for the Star Tribune and he joins Steve Thomson ahead of their game against the San Francisco Giants. They talk about the suddenly red hot AL Central, the health of the Twins pitching staff and what to expect tonight at Target Field.

Elbow Lake is where Steve Carney went for the opener to escape the crowds but found some anyways. A fantastic morning filled with walleye and crappies he reports. Carney gets into some of the bait he used so successfully today as well as some misplaced techniques he noticed from his fellow fisher peoples.

Bobby Nightengale joins Steve Thomson ahead of Twins v. Red Sox at Fenway Park. Bobby gets into one of the bright spots of a challenging Twins season so far: the pitching staff. Steve also inquires about players making their return from injury and the facing the potent batting lineup of the Boston Red Sox.

Steve Carney takes time out of a gorgeous day for a meeting of the Steves. This amazing weather bodes well for the approaching fishing opener, Carney says that target temperature of 60 degrees in close and expects crappies in the pencil reeds by the end of the week!

Steve Carney joins Steve Thomson for a meeting of the Steves about the state of the great Minnesota outdoors. Temps are on the rise and most of the ice is out. Crappies are good eating and already hanging in the shallows according to Carney. Things are on track for the walleye opener he reports.

Chris Hine from the Star Tribune joins Steve Thomson to talk playoff seeding scenarios for the Minnesota Timberwolves as they wrap up the regular season. Anthony Edwards will be available against the Jazz as the Wolves fight for consistency and a favored spot in the playoffs.

It is April so in truncated fashion we covered the best of the best in spring sports - as Ron Sirak joined to preview Masters week, Kevin Lynch of Fan Duel Sports Network previewed Wolves-Sixers and the beginning of the Marc Lore-Alex Rodriguez era.
