Spooky Scary with Matt and Ginny

This is a kinky sex movie masquerading as a horror movie.  Let Matt and Ginny introduce you to Pinhead, the dude with the pins in this face.  You know that guy!  

Chainsaws, Texans, Leatherface, the 1970's.  What does this movie lack?  Certainly not screaming!   Listen as Matt and I review a true classic.    

This is 2019's re-imagining of Child's Play, featuring a much creepier doll and much more graphic violence.  Enjoy what has to be Mark Hamill's weirdest voice-over role!  

Man, the 80's produced some great horror films!  This one is about a possessed doll that murders people.  The doll is also a redhead.  

In 1990, somebody decided to make a movie about spiders infesting a small town.  It is surprisingly scary, even with all the pleated khakis that appear throughout the movie.  

We have our first ever guest star- Remy Ortiz! Based in (and recording from!) LA, Remy is a Nightmare on Elm Street aficionado and graciously shares his expertise with us. We review Nightmare pt. 3, The Dream Warriors, and talk about growing up with Freddy Krueger and the Nightmare franchise.

This is a HP Lovecraft story that has been adapted into a very trippy movie involving Nicolas Cage, aliens, and alpacas.  Matt and I struggle with our feelings about this one and we share our theories on the ending.  

It's movie popcorn- college girl keeps getting killed on her birthday and is stuck in a time loop.  I enjoy the ride, Matt a little less so.  

Matt made me watch an artsy movie about 2 dudes in a lighthouse in the 1800's.  It is technically a horror movie and is also very different than most horror movies.  Enjoy my bewilderment!  

A fun, light-hearted look at family dynamics and Satanism.  Yes, Satanism.  We can also promise that the film will make you feel better about your family!  

Watch Freddy Krueger battle Jason Vorhees in a movie that has way too much plot.  2003 is bringin' those bootcut jeans back!  

Two movies for the price of one!  We watch the 2nd movie in both of the Freddy and Jason series.  Useful for a unexpectedly long commute and/or interactions with people.   

The reason you have always been scared of sleep away camps! Watch where the legend of Jason began.  No hockey masks though.  

The legend of Freddy Krueger begins here. Matt and Ginny remain unimpressed but it is a classic.

Can’t believe we watched an alligator movie set in Florida. It’s great though and we really enjoyed it. Don’t be scared off!

It’s 1992 and there is indoor smoking and shoulder pads. Join Matt and Ginny for a Chicago-based horror movie that delves into racism and features lots of hooks.

Matt and Ginny watch the 2018 restart to the Halloween franchise. There are a lot of ladies in this movie and it has excellent dialogue. Disclaimer: The track skips around minute 20-25. It’s us, not you.

Join us for a review of the Rob Zombie remake of the original Halloween. There is a lot of nudity in it and that’s about the best thing we can say about the movie. [Trigger Warning: There is rape in this movie and we talk about it.]
