I asked Njeri if she has tips of learning Mandarin and Cantonese; we are both learning a new language. She is learning Swahili and I am learning Italian. 

We had a chat about what we are up to during the cornoavirus lockdown, her life in Kenya and about her recently running a half marathon! 

I caught up with Njeri, my friend I met from UC Berkeley who inspired me to teach Cantonese! We spoke a little bit about her journey learning Mandarin and Cantonese,  exciting times in China,  facing racism while staying in China shortly and how she handles it.
