We don't need our circumstance to change, or to be certain about the outcome. Just knowing God is in it gives us the courage we need to continue moving forward in faith.

How would our lives look different if we believed God's gracious hand was upon us, guiding and empowering us in the midst of our struggles.

God is in the business of building and rebuilding lives over and over again for his glory and our fullest experience of shalom. Our lives are defined much more by how we respond to disappointment than how much we achieve. God delights Himself in calling us to play small roles in the big things He is doing in our world.

Sometimes joy comes naturally, other times it is an unnatural choice in adverse circumstances, and still other times it is a supernatural gift offered to get us through. The Christian faith offers a joy that the deepest grief or sadness cannot quench. No circumstance nor person have the power to strip away the joy that God offers.

Grieving is intentionally processing our losses. God meets us here, and often does his best work in this painful place.

Anxiety is often associated with a need for control, certainty, or connection.  The gospel shapes anxiety by allowing us to trust in the one who is in ultimate control, providing the only certainty needed in a world of uncertainty, and connection with the one who loves and accepts us fully.
