Spanish On the Clock
Bite sized lessons for learning conversational Spanish for the workplace. Perfect for listening to on the way to work, at the gym, or any time you may have free to learn Spanish! These lessons are intended to help you learn in a pragmatic way, and don't focus heavily on grammar. There are many more to supplement what you learn here, and I encourage you to listen to more, read more, and most importantly, actually speak with native speakers if you can. Follow along with these though, and listen as much as you can, and you will learn a great deal to help you in the workplace!

Tools of the Trade: Asking for What You Need. You've got your safety gear down — now it's time to learn the tools. Mike and Sofia cover the Spanish names for hammer, saw, drill, and level, plus the two most useful phrases on any job site: "dame" (give me) and "pásame" (pass me). You'll practice asking for tools by name and putting together real requests you can use the moment you're back on site.

Safety First. On a construction site, safety isn't optional — and neither is knowing how to say it in Spanish. Mike and Sofia teach you the words that matter most: how to warn someone of danger, name your protective gear, and tell a coworker to put on their hard hat. You'll practice real scenarios like spotting a hazard and shouting the right thing before someone gets hurt.
Construction-Episode 1 06.03.2026 6:16
First Day Greetings. It's your first morning on a construction site and you don't speak a word of Spanish — until now. Mike and Sofia walk you through the essentials: how to say hello, introduce yourself, and ask how someone's doing. By the end, you'll be walking up to your crew saying "Buenos días, me llamo..." like you've been doing it for years.
