Often we can fall more in love with what God does rather than who he is. We can become so captivated by the miracles that we overlook the miracle maker. The pandemic the world is experiencing has revealed that we aren't in control. This leaves us asking ourselves who is. God is in control, so our response is not to strive toward success but surrender to Gods sovereignty. We can fall into the arms of God. Support the show

God whispers because he is close but sometimes we fail to hear his whisper in the midst of all the noise around us. God wants us to be still but its not easy because silence is the cross upon which we crucify the ego. If we choose to seek solitude and pray like Jesus we understand that prayer is not so much about talking but giving and that its not about performance, but presence. Support the show

Often we think of confession as a momentary reaction to getting caught out on something we were hiding, but when we confess to God he forgives our sins and when we confess to each other we experience healing. God can't bless who we pretend to be. He wants to heal the places in which we hide and that requires the discipline of confession. Support the show

Gods word tells us Godliness with contentment is of great gain. Gratitude makes what we have enough and when what we have is enough we are content. That's why Paul the Apostle could praise God while in a prison cell. He was content and in the midst if his gratitude he gained his freedom. Our gains are received through gratitude instead of being the reason why we’re grateful. Support the show

Studies tell us that only 10 percent of our happiness comes from anything circumstantial. This is why making happiness your lifelong goal isn't giving you the desired results. Instead we should make Jesus the goal because as we abide in Him, the vine, we produce the fruit of the Spirit that includes joy. And the joy of the Lord is our strength. Support the show

There's only one thing other than God that Jesus describes as a threat to His Lordship on the throne of our hearts. That threat is the spirit of Mammon. We guard our hearts against mammon's enticement by redefining true treasures, reprioritizing our investments and redirecting our riches, for where your treasure is there your heart will be also. Sometimes in seasons of lack we seek satisfaction in a place rather than the person of Jesus, God with us. You don't need to work toward a miracle in a specific place when the miracle maker simply requires your surrender. Support the show

When you're tired and worn out God says, "come to me". When you come to God in your weakness he helps us and refers to the Holy Spirit as the helper. Often our breakthrough isn't about circumstances changing externally but our realization of the power of Gods Spirit internally. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. God often promotes us to the platforms of our dreams only once we've served faithfully in the prison places. God wants to bless us out of this season of burden so the enemy seeks to steal the blessing by dividing our unity. We need to partner, prioritize and protect our relationships because where there is unity God commands a blessing. Support the show

Whenever the enemy wants to stifle the building of your hands he goes for your heart. This is why scripture tells us to guard our hearts ensuring we don't leave gaps open for the enemy to access. This enemy seeks to isolate us from others in order to weaken our support and deplete us of strength. We cant heal what we don't hear. Its time to put aside our opinions and hear the hurt carried by so many because of racism. Privilege has protected some from feeling what others have endured but the bible calls us to mourn with those who mourn in the process of living in harmony. This is the beginning. Support the show
