Can we trust Jesus? How often do we forget that he is remarkably good to us? Jesus declares that he is the bread of life. He declares that he is the only one who is able to fully satisfy us and provide for what we need.

Christmas is a reminder that even though we are dirty and sometimes a little hard to be around, Jesus came to welcome us back into his presence. He came to bring back access to the Father. This means that though we live in a broken and dirty world, that the things that separated us from God were handled by Jesus and he works as our priest to bring us true and lasting joy.

What does love look like? Love looks like Jesus. And he showed us perfect love through the Christmas story. Christmas means that all of the old things have passed away and something new has come. All of the hate and brokenness has been undone in Christ and he was the beginning of a new creation where all things are once again made right and love triumphs. Jesus is our king of love.

Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus come? Jesus, God in the flesh, came as a little baby to grow up and die for our sins on the cross. His birth is the reason we can have hope and we celebrate Christmas this year as a time of hope.

How far does forgiveness go? Can Jesus forgive the darkest moments of your life? The Bible shows us that the grace of Jesus goes far beyond any evil.

What does it mean to make Jesus Lord? What areas of your life does Jesus want? Jesus talks more about money than almost anything else in the New Testament and maybe that's because Jesus had something bigger in mind. Jesus wants you, the whole of you.

Bringing in a brand new series pastor Ricky is introducing to us some of the rhythms that our Rooted participants are learning. These are fundamental activities that followers of Jesus fall into. So, where should Christians start? One of the first rhythms is that of prayer and devotion. This is time praying and reading the word of God.

What does the Bible have to say about what happens to us when we die? You might be surprised to hear this, but all the way back in Daniel we hear about what’s to happen after we die. God will judge the just and the unjust and there are eternal consequences for whether or not we chose to be on the side of Jesus.

What does the Bible teach us about the last days? Daniel shows us that while things may get difficult that Jesus is working all things together for his second coming when all things will be restored to himself.

Does the Bible talk about more than what we can see with our eyes? Daniel 10 emphatically answers yes. This is a moment in Scripture where we get to see behind the scenes and see the spiritual things that are going on in every day life than we normally recognize.

“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”. (Matthew 6:21.  Why does the church talk about money? Sometimes talking about money can be intimidating, but Jesus often times took on the intimidating for maximum impact. Jesus talked about money and expects his church to talk about money because he recognizes that money and faith cannot be separated.

This week pastor John reminded us the importance of our actions and attitudes to the world around us. How can you tell if someone is a real Christian? Jesus told us that the world we know that we belong to him by our love for one another. We are called to be salt and light.

Daniel receives a vision of what some consider to be the greatest of all prophecies. Daniel is given a vision that shows him exactly how and even when the messiah will come and reconcile his people back to him. So can the Bible be trusted? Daniel proves that the answer is an emphatic yes.

As Daniel received what may be the greatest of all prophecies we also see him engage in an incredible prayer. Daniel’s prayer stands as an example to us for how we can and should pray.

Daniel chapter 8 sees prophecies so intense that even Daniel trembled out of fear and lack of understanding. So why look at it today? We look today because we know that God gives us a deep hope in the knowledge that he is in control of the future no matter how bad things may seem and we remain called to be a light in an ever growing darkness.

The second half of the book of Daniel is full of symbols and visions. Does this have any bearing on our life today? Pastor Ricky shows how Daniel teaches to keep the focus on Jesus even as evil kingdoms rise.
