Paul has given us some good examples of how we should not walk thus far in Ephesians. This week, we’ll see how we should walk now that we’re in Christ from Ephesians 5:1-17 , and it all centers around imitation. We all end up imitating something, whether intentionally or not. In this text we’ll see reminders about what we should imitate, and how that looks in our lives today.

The one in which we talk about grieving the Holy Spirit.

Last week we were reminded that we are to live our lives in a manner worthy of Christ. This week Paul carries this idea forward by reminding us that believers are supposed to live in a way that is sharply different than those who are not in Christ. In Christ we have a new identity, and we will be challenged to put off the old self and put on the new self which impacts every area of our lives.
