This week we are continuing our series through the Psalms by looking at  Psalm 22 . This Psalm will be familiar to many of us because of the words, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" which Christ quotes on the cross. While this Psalm clearly applies to Christ's death, it has much to teach us about lament, trust, and praise as we fix our eyes on God and his faithfulness.

As Jesus changes locations, His teaching becomes much more focused on how to live as disciples of Him. Last week Mark’s gospel reached the pinnacle of the story with Peter’s declaration that Jesus is the Christ. Have you ever felt so dirty that no amount of showering felt like you could get clean? In this week’s passage ( Mark 7:1-37 ), we’ll be taking a look at what truly makes someone unclean.
