In our culture, moving from dependence to independence is a sign of maturity. But what if we’re not meant to face life’s successes or struggles on our own. Throughout the New Testament the “one another’s” are the backbone of relationships. We find that healthy, mature people live interdependently, not independently.

What do we do when God doesn’t grant us the miracle we are asking for? It can be disheartening, but the truth is, God has already granted us the ultimate miracle: the miracle of forgiveness. Are you living like you’re forgiven?

You may have something that feels all-consuming right now. Maybe it’s a habit or addiction that you can’t seem to break. Maybe you want or need to make a change in an area of your life. Maybe it’s a relationship that feels toxic. Maybe it’s your mental health. What would it look like to ask Jesus for help?

A miracle is the idea of something impossible happening. Miracles show us that Jesus can do anything. What are some reasons why we question whether miracles happen today? Could it be possible that we see more miracles than we realize, but we’re too quick to dismiss them?

How does the imagery of a spiritual battle and suiting up in armor make you feel? What does it mean to put on the full armor of God and fight the lies of the world.

Why is fasting so important to a follower of Jesus? What if we choose to fast as a way to fight against the disordered desires of our flesh, the deception of the Evil One, and temptations that are normalized in a sinful world? What if fasting is not a way to manipulate God towards doing whatever we want Him to do in our lives?

What lies do you tend to believe that speak to something broken inside of you (I deserve this, it’s okay to cheat, etc.)? What norms of our society do you struggle with accepting are actually sin?

Can you think of some of the bad things the devil has convinced us are good and vice versa? Have you ever been able to recognize in the moment that it was the devil? Have you ever struggled with believing that the devil was real?

How would you define “the world”? n what ways have you been tempted to believe what “the world” has to say about you or something in your life? Are you aware of the effects that the world has on you and your life?

Have you ever regretted doing something you knew you didn’t “want to do,” but you did it anyway? How do you feel afterwards? That’s our flesh. We’ll learn how our base primal, animalistic desires for self-gratification, especially as pertains to sensuality and survival.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of the devil? Are you more likely to pretend the devil doesn’t exist or see the devil in everything? What has been said about the devil that makes you skeptical about his existence?

The early church living in Rome lived out God’s values and outlasted the Roman Empire, which was not founded on the same principles as America. So imagine the impact on living out God’s values in America, which was founded on values influenced by the Church?

We all want to give our kids the best. What if the best gifts may be painful as they prepare them for the future? What if we worry less about their happiness and focus more on their readiness?

What and who we expose our kids to will shape what they believe and who they become. What and who are we being exposed to? What and who are we exposing our kids to? *The clip used in the sermon is from Messengers International.

The choices we make & the quality of our relationships all begin on the inside. How can you have more of the fruit of the Spirit in your life?

We want to make sure we’re living well in the hybrid world we live in, and make sure we’re taking care of ourselves in the right ways. Have you noticed a correlation between screen time/social media and your mental health?

Margin requires sacrifice. What if we viewed money as a trap? This may most likely change the way we manage our personal finances. Ask yourself this question: What if wealth reduces my compassion?

Rest is not the absence of something, but the presence of Someone. What are some practices you can put in your life and your family’s life to help you rest more?

Our faith, which is centered on Jesus, empowers us to miss out. What if missing out was a good thing? What would it look like for you to embrace NOMO (necessity of missing out)?

Because Jesus lives, we can face tomorrow. With the challenges and uncertainties of our short lives, we can face them because He lives.

We all have a tendency to drift from God, but we are never too far from God to restore our relationship with Him.
