Passage: Genesis 35:1-15 . As we wrap our Jacob series, we find Jacob returning to Bethel. He responds to God's invitation to finally return to Bethel in surrender and accept his name. Passage: Genesis 34. In this world, we are defiled. Things we do. Things done to us. And the question comes, how do we respond? All this is true for Jacob as he navigates the violation of his daughter. At the end, we find we are all in need of this Saviour Jesus, who gave Himself for justice so we might be clean.  Series: A Wrestle to Trust

Passage: Genesis 33:1-22 . Sometimes the thing you are most afraid of doesn't happen the way you thought. This is the case for Jacob. After his God encounter, Esau arrives but it's all grace. This is the grace we need. Courage, humility, blessing. And of course, the reminder that the story isn't over yet.  Series: A Wrestle to Trust

Passage: Genesis 32:22-32 . It's a famous story. Jacob wrestles God in the river. Everything has been building to this. The wrestle. Jacob won't let go and God blesses him and gives him a new name. What about you? Maybe it's time for an encounter that will change you utterly.  Series: A Wrestle to Trust

Passage: Genesis 32:1-21 . Deep fear. We all have it, if we can admit it. Jacob will be confronted by his brother coming with a small army. Why four hundred men? Again, the human questions surface: Can I trust this God? Is He really faithful? The good news is knowing that our deep fears get exposed to allow for deep transformation. Passage: Genesis 31 . Every week, the story almost seems the same. God shows up and promises to be faithful, and then stuff happens and Jacob has trouble trusting. He is so afraid. Then it always turns out God is faithful. Familiar, anyone? Insert our name for Jacob's. We struggle to trust because it's hard. Passage: Genesis 30:22-45 . Maybe you feel like all this is about you. All your success. All your spirituality. But somewhere along the way, you'll have that moment where you realize God has been working all along.
