Soups on Hockey

Rather than do several episodes to catch up, you get it all in one shot today! So I'm talking election (yes, seriously), Ovechkin, the Preds, who's real and who isn't, doing my latest best bets, and of course a bit on the Oilers.

It's really not a post game show at this point, but I'm sticking with the name until I can think of a new one. And thanks to technical difficulties, this isn't coming out until long after it was recorded. Oh yeah, I talk about the Oilers in this episode.

BS stands for Big Show though it’s a weird show as I basically go down any rabbit hole I can think of. Pens, Sid, Oilers, Wings, etc. Lots of etc.

Coming off a 2-5 week sucks, but 8-6 so far on the season is fine, especially when you factor in the odds. Up $32.39 at $10 a bet in this still very young season. Still lots of time for me to lose you LOTS of money!

Nice little win for the Oil in "Smashville". Easily their best game of the extremely young season.

I don't know why the hell I do this to myself, but here I am again. Back for the 2nd season of the SOH Best Bets. 7 picks, likely to humiliate me. Come for the picks, stay to laugh at ollllll Soupy bear.

Basically a pre-game show. But obviously I couldn't help but rant about Wednesday night, even though I've had a few days to calm down. Spoiler alert: I didn't calm down.

Essentially, it's my Edmonton Oilers season preview show, but with more of a look at the roster and what I feel could happen. They're the Cup favourite, yet I'm not sure they're a championship team at this moment. What they could do to make it all work, what they need out of certain players, and what they might need to add by the trade deadline.

My favourite futures bets entering the season, my latest power rankings, and all my prognostications including division winners, playoff matchups, regular season award winners and of course who I got winning the 24-25 Stanley Cup.

Pretty much described it in the title. It’s the pre-season, relax.

It ain't short at all! It's over an hour, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to title it, so it was a short shift, and then kept me up far passed my bed time. I take a look at all the teams I believe could be in on Jeremy Swayman should the Bruins opt to trade the 25 year old stud netminder.

This one is mainly all about my latest rebuild rankings (that the Athletic stole my idea for but WHATEVER I'M NOT BITTER...), however also got some thoughts on Sid extending with the Penguins and the Oilers showing at the rookie tournament in Penticton.

20 years ago, this completely forgotten tournament was the secondary focus of the hockey world as hockey armageddon...otherwise known as the 2004 lockout...was the main focus.

Great day for Oilers fans, but a horrendous weekend for all hockey fans.
