Just because it's easy doesn't make it right. Sometimes in life we think we can take a shortcut to get to the destination. While that might sometimes be true, it is definitely not always true. Remember the destination is important, but the journey is the story that leads to the destination. God has used to David to accomplish much already. David has not yet assumed his kingship and is running for his life from King Saul. As he comes to the temple, we find that David makes mistakes and wrong decisions. David has been a hero because he has been faithful but in this chapter we see David digress as he chooses wrong decisions.
