Today we chat with Bonnie Raechal Beres '23 who in the Spring of 2022 studied abroad at SIT Panama, a program focusing on Tropical Ecology, Marine Ecosystems and Biodiversity Conservation. She speaks about her incredible experience doing research & fieldwork out in the wild with colorful birds, amphibians, and even a jaguar! 

In this episode, we chat with Abby Krueger about her time in Rome, Italy studying at John Cabot University in the Spring of 2022. She describes the Italian lifestyle, getting around the city, and the incredible cultural experiences she had, such as watching the sunrise over St. Peter's Basilica & going to Easter mass at the Vatican!  

We are joined by Hannah Rogers, who studied in Scotland at the University of Stirling in the Summer of 2022. During her month long program, she took 2 classes, explored the UK and other parts of Europe, and made close friends! We also talk about Scottish delicacies and excursions, as well as homesickness and culture shock.

Welcome back SNC students! Our first guest of the semester is Brianne DeLain, who studied abroad at Hanze University in the Netherlands in Spring 2022. We chat about meeting international students & gaining cultural perspectives, adjusting to a new education style, and travel throughout Europe! She gives lots of good advice for future students who are thinking about studying abroad.

We discuss their trip to Transylvania on Halloween weekend, homesickness while abroad, and how much their Spanish abilities improved after four months of being completely immersed in it!
