Mix #7 – Kidding Kurrys 15.03.2016

#SNFrewind - Mix #7, Kidding Kurrys. No big story on this one. Starts easy, almost consensual. LCD Soundsystem, a Craig Bratley remix, some warm grooves. You think you know where this is going. You don't. Second half gets mean. A nice little spectrum. Tracklist: 01 - LCD Soundsystem - 4533 (Pilooski Remix) 02 - Dj Rocca & Chris Massey - Shone 03 - Jonah Considine - Golden Flu (Craig Bratley remix)...

Mix #6 – Paul Echevarria 24.02.2016

#SNFrewind2026: 10 years of mixes. Paul never fails to surprise. Long, sideways intros. Unexpected tempo shifts. A sense of groove that's entirely his own. Every mix he does feels like it's going somewhere you didn't see coming, and somehow it always makes sense in hindsight. This one is no exception. It starts elsewhere and ends up exactly where it should. Also, track 13 is called "Navy Stamp Deg...

Mix #5 – Horseshit 02.02.2016

#SNFrewind2026: 10 years of mixes. The crew's resident troublemaker. More techno, a bit punk, a touch of italo. The only member who openly breaks the « slow rule » (under 125bpm) in his mixes and gets away with it. But his first mix here is slow. Of course it is. The tracklist is mechanical, hypnotic, a little cold. Tolouse Low Trax, Voiski, Benedikt Frey. It goes somewhere and takes its time gett...

Mix #4 – ShEu 19.01.2016

#SNFrewind2026: 10 years of mixes. Sheu is one of the co-founders of OTTO10, a legendary Parisian party collective that ruled the 2010s. Fun fact: when playing at parties, the man had a chronic tendency to speed tracks up. Make them faster. Push the BPM up. For a collective literally built around playing slow, that was quite something. We kept him anyway. 01 - Red Axes - Shem 02 - Klanken - Drie 0...

Mix #3 – Pat Random 03.01.2016

#SNFrewind2026: 10 years of mixes. Meet Pat Random. First time we saw him play was at a weekend away. Half the people there were DJs. Pat Random was the only one who got everyone on the floor. So we asked him to join. The response? "Nan mais mec, tu vois, jouer, tout ça, je m'en fous." ("Nah, but dude, you know, Djing and all that, I don't care") Reader, he joined. Tracklist 01 - Bing Jin Ling - H...

Mix #2 – Kidding Kurrys 25.12.2015

#SNFrewind2026: 10 years of mixes. Kidding Kurrys takes the wheel. He wanted to play slow. 90 BPM, hard rule, no exceptions. Blame https://soundcloud.com/tenientecastillo and his legendary Dancin' Below 100 BPM series. Comes out odd, dark and brooding, but weirdly sunny in places. Like a goth and a golden retriever sharing a playlist. Tracklist 1 - Darkside - A2 2 - SwitchSt(d)ance - Shining 3 - S...

Mix #1 – ATX 16.12.2015

#SNFrewind2026: 10 years of mixes. It started late 2015: drinks, digging through records at Horseshit's, a conversation about how "slow is fast". The next morning, the Slow Is The New Fast Soundcloud page was born and needed filling. ATX went first. Hooked on the counter like every play was a verdict. A few of those tracks would go on to become absolute staples at our parties. Funny how that works...
