Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future." You know this verse well and probably have it on a coffee mug or cross stitched into a pillow. But is this verse a promise for me and you? Or do we have it twisted?

"Do not judge, lest you be judged" is the most quoted verse in the Bible in today's culture by those inside and outside the church. When Jesus said this, did he remove our ability to make judgments? Is that what he really meant? Or are there provisions to how and who we should judge?

Today, we begin a new series looking at verses in the Bible that commonly get misused. We kick off the series looking at John 14:13-14 where Jesus said he'd do anything we ask for in his name. But does this really mean what it looks like at face value? An exploration into the context and interpretation reveals all. 

Men may be down, but we are never out because failure is an event, never a person. In today's last look at Samson, we see how he was bound, blind, and broken. But when he turned to God, he restored him to his original purpose.

Samson didn't ruin his live all at once, he did it over time with small steps in the wrong direction. Today we look at 3 small steps that Samson took toward his destruction and how it all could have been avoided if he would have just turned around.

Men don't like to think of themselves as emotional, but we are. As men, there are two major emotions that the enemy will use to take us out - Anger and Pride. We must learn to live spirit led lives and not emotionally driven ones.
