As we start off looking at the Israelites and how God delivered them, we need to start to see what He delivered them from. Ultimately He brought them out of bondage - from a place where they were captive to a place of freedom!

Family can be the best part of holidays like Christmas and it can be the worst part of Christmas, if we let it! Fortunately, the Bible has plenty to say about our family relationships and how to make the best of them!

It's safe to say that the giving of gifts around Christmas is the #1 tradition for most people. There is often the hunt for the 'perfect' gift for that special person we're shopping for. This morning, we look at the Best Gift, the First Gift and the Perfect Gift for us all that can be found in Jesus!

Music is a powerful tool and often time connects us to memories or traditions that have significant meaning for us. Christmas music specifically goes a step further. Not only does it have the ability to cause us to connect to meaningful times as a family or a child, but ultimately real Christmas music exists to celebrate the birth of Jesus!

Food creates meaningful memories and connections to certain events or people - but why? Christmas is no different and as we enter the Christmas season, we can learn some important lessons from our sentimental attachment to things like 'Figgy Pudding'.

The Thanksgiving holiday can bring up plenty of challenging situations amongst our families and friends, especially in a day like to day when everyone has a different opinion and they're each right in their own mind. Forgiveness can be a timely topic this time of year and an important part of working through imperfect relationships is the practice of forgiveness.

Gratitude has many scientific benefits that are crucial for us all! Beyond that, God has some commands for us as it pertains to that gratitude! If we can master these 5 Commands in our own lives, we will experience an even greater level of gratitude in our lives!

Is our gratitude situational or have we made the decision to thank God no matter the circumstance? No matter what is happening, there are areas in our lives that deserve an attitude of thankfulness - sometimes we just need to be reminded of it!

As we begin our Give Thanks series, we welcome Madison Ngafeeson who starts us off on looking at the Power of Giving Thanks!

Today we'll conclude our Through the Fire series by looking at the book of Acts and the recounting of the Day of Pentecost. God's desire for us all is that we are Baptized by Fire!

Daniel 3 contains perhaps the most well know fire stories that we find in Scripture. While we know what the outcome was, this week we are going to look at some of the facts about the fires we experience throughout our lives. There are times where are our miracle takes place in the midst of that very fire!

It goes without saying that God knows when our attention must be grabbed by any means necessary and fire comes into play at crucial moments. Twice in Scripture, an answer from God quite literally came through fire - today we continue to look at how He Answered by Fire.

Fire is the ultimate test of something - how does it respond to the process of going through such a potentially destructive process? More specifically, how do we respond when we go through the fires of life? We hope you're encouraged this morning and remember that the fire brings out the purest form of precious metals - the same can be applied to our lives!

Join us this morning as we kick off our series called Through the Fire as we dig into the significance the element of fire plays throughout Scripture.

Join us this morning as we highlight how we can be that church who loves our university! Today we welcome NMU Chi Alpha Director, Mike Murray as he shares with us!

Throughout the Bible we can see God's willingness to use people who experience the same weaknesses, shortcomings and failures as we do. In that same vein, however, we see the restorative actions of God at work in their lives as well. We want to be known as a church that is full of grace and eager to see God restore the lives of those we encounter!

The church cannot afford to be on the side of neutrality when it comes to what eternity can and should look like. This week we look at what we must do to become "That Church" that does all it can do to emulate the words of Jesus when He said He came to seek and save the lost.

As a church, we want to be known for loving God, loving people and making an impact in our world. While that is our hope, what do those who observe us from a distance think? Are we 'That Church' that does in fact love God and others?

As we conclude our "True Worship" series, what better to look at than the characteristics of Jesus' worship? Throughout the life of Jesus we can learn much about what True Worship should look like!

It's fair to say that there are many misconceptions about worship. Why do we worship? How should we worship? These kinds of questions can bring out a number of responses, but ultimately the answers are to be found in Scripture! This weekend we will look at a few of the misconceptions surrounding worship.

Worship takes many forms and this week we will look at Mark 12 to look at how the poor widow worship in a way that we don't always think of. There is much we can learn from the type of worship we see this woman display!

As we continue to look at Biblical examples of True Worship, we look at someone who wasn't even invited to the gathering who gave us an incredible example of worshipping Jesus! There is much we can learn from Luke 7 about worship!

Worship can often times be misunderstood and throughout the month we will be looking at what True Worship really is and how we are called to be people of worship! This weekend we'll look at what worship is and what it isn't!

Life today is all about connections - so what happens if we feel disconnected from something? Simply put, we have to reconnect! This weekend, we are going to look at ways that we can each reconnect with God beyond Sunday morning each week!

As we take the church beyond the walls of the building, there will be times when we will need to go over and above! Our love and compassion for our world should go beyond our instincts and do everything we can to make a difference in the lives of others by showing the love of God!
