So many stand in front of the person and news that is Jesus and still fail to understand and believe he is who he says he is. Why is that? Well, Jesus himself tells us through his practice of speaking in parables why that is. As we look at this passage we must ask a tough question: Which comes first: understanding or faith?

Is there anything that we can do that is beyond the grace of God?

When we see everything as God's we can start to ask him to instruct us how to use it.

The greatness of the testimony has nothing to do with the size of the gift.

Jesus loves him and wants to give him eternal life and life to the full but something is holding him captive.

When Jesus calls and makes his first 12 disciples he sends them out with his own power and message. They are engaging in a "ministry of extension" as they just distribute Jesus amongst the nations.

How does Jesus turn any "religion" of the day upside down?

Where would you be surprised to run into Jesus? Turns out you could find him anywhere.

When the fear of disconnection, leads to shame and hiding, we must believe that we are worthy of love and belonging, by looking to the cross and step out of crowd into the space of vulnerability, forgiveness and healing.

What is the connection between the mind, body, and spirit of a person? Jesus shows that he has authority over each and that he has come to take the brokenness of each upon himself to bring healing and freedom to the whole human person.
