Side Work Podcast
Veteran waitresses clap back in a new weekly comedy podcast where nothing's off the table other than the 15 percent tip we just stuffed into our apron. Hosted by Brooke Van Poppelen & Andrea Wallace, the two use their combined 30 plus years of servitude, extensive careers in comedy (while waiting tables), and disdain for entitled Yelp culture to dish about the career that everyone should experience to be a decent human being. Side Work Podcast combines current events, trends in the service industry and food, with hilarious server submitted stories from around the world. Godspeed and Good Tips!

We are back with part one of a two-parter talking about the check, the bill, the tab, the damage. Why does this final step of service seem to be so hard for customers and servers alike? We read your always hilarious and infuriating Server Submitted Stories and then our pal Georgia Hardstark dr...

Ep. 30 "Thank You For Being A Friend" 19.07.2019 46:25
In today's episode we discuss the one thing that makes the service industry bearable: friends. This soul-sucking profession can become an absolute blast when you've got a crew that gets you. On the flip side we talk about the jobs we had where we didn't fit in, how hard it was, and how other servers can go out of their way to make you feel like sh*t, especially when you're the new hire. But once y...
Ep. 29 "Killin' Time for a Dime with Drennon Davis" 12.07.2019 54:04
Working on and around the Fourth of July is pretty much a guaranteed dead time in the service industry which sparked today's conversation about what servers do when it's slooooooowwwwww. The good news is there is a re...
