Through Jesus we have received both the greater blessing and the greater accountability of the new covenant. In todays passage the writer of Hebrews compares the blessings we receive in Jesus.

For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
