Like cleaning out an old closet, new life in Christ means getting a new wardrobe. It involves taking off our old selves and putting on virtues that reflect the inner transformation we’ve experienced. The hope found in the Gospel teaches us how to honor Christ in both word and action.

If we’re not paying attention, it’s easy to be deceived. In Colossians 2:6-23, Paul describes how a life rooted in Christ is the key to avoiding the deception the enemy wants to bring in our lives. Without deep roots, we’ll topple over when the storms come.

God hasn’t blessed our church with potential with success. God has blessed our church with potential. Our assignment is to be faithful stewards of the potential the Lord has entrusted to us. One significant way we do that is by saying yes to those who’ve said no.

For far too long the church has been known for what we’re against. We should be know for what we are FOR. We are FOR our community because God is FOR them.

The beginning of a new year provides us the opportunity for a fresh start. We get to reboot or reset, and reestablish the right routines. What do you need to reboot in 2022? Whether you need to reboot physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually, the good news is that God is full of grace and mercy. His mercy shop is always open because His mercies are new every morning.

Looking beyond the manger means we’re people who follow Jesus all the time, not only when it’s convenient to us. We follow wherever, whenever, no matter the cost. As we see in John 4, God calls us to both go and tell and invite others to come and see.

We learn so much from both the content and context of two parallel stories in Luke 2 and “O Holy Night." God chose to make His presence available to ALL people. Our calling is simple in this season: Spend time in the presence of the King & proclaim the presence of the king.

The wise men crossed deserts and mountains to seek Jesus. They were overjoyed when they saw the star in the sky because they had made the greatest discovery of their lives - they had found the Messiah! Wise men still seek Him. True joy is found only in Jesus because He gives us what we need most, the gift of salvation.

Adoration means to worship God for Who He is. The miracle of Christmas is that when we see Jesus, we see One who is fully man and fully God. When we see Him for who He really is, it leads us to adoration, and when we engage in adoration, it causes us to see Him more fully. O Come Let Us Adore Him!

Emmanuel, “God with us.” The wonder of Christmas is that the God of all creation came from heaven to earth. God’s presence makes a difference in our life. Because God is with us, what is impossible for man is possible with God. God’s presence give us courage, takes away fear, and reminds us He is for us.

If money could talk, it would tell us: “I’m easy to keep up with, but I’m difficult to catch up with.” All of us should know where our money is going. The best way to do that is by keeping tabs on our actual spending. Our spending matters because it’s not our money; it’s God’s. It all belongs to Him. We’re managers, not owners. And how we manage our money speaks volumes about who and whose we are.
