Following our advent series, our pastor returned to the book of Luke and preached from chapter 11, verses 14-28. We considered the Kingship that Jesus reveals about Himself, how His first audience received this revelation, and how we should receive it today.

This week, our pastoral intern preached from Isaiah 52:13-53:12 .  We learned that Jesus is not just the servant of the Lord, but that He is the suffering servant of the Lord. He is the one who was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities.

Continuing our advent series, our pastor preached from Isaiah 9:1-7 about the promise of the Divine Child who would grow up to be our “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” We talked about the “zeal of the Lord” for each of us and His church.
