A spiritual fruit listed in Galatians 5:22 is goodness and it grows out of a life that is in tune with a good God and under the control of His Spirit. In this message, Florence identifies ways in which God is good and suggests how we, as followers of Jesus Christ, can demonstrate the spiritual fruit of goodness to those around us.

Vijay continues his series on 1st John

James continues looking at the significance of the Day of Pentecost. In this message, the key which helps unlock our understanding of Pentecost is an ancient prophecy by Joel. The coming of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost fulfilled that prophecy. It also shows us God's vision for the church and for the future. We are invited to be part of what God is doing in building his church.

The love believers are called to exercise is the one modeled in the love shown in Jesus Christ. Jesus shows that love involves two things: the sacrifice of the one who loves and the offer of life in the one who is loved. Hate, as modeled in Cain, is the exact opposite: he kills a brother to advance himself. When believers exercise such love they gain a clear conscience and confidence before God.

Through Christ Jesus, God shows His love for us by making us children of God. Children bear a close resemblance to those in their family. If both the Father and Christ Jesus are marked by love and a hatred for sin (i.e., everything that is opposite of love), children of God also evidence these family features.

John has instructed the believer to evidence belief in the God of light by expressing love particularly to fellow believers. But, what does it mean to have a common faith with fellow believers? One way of communicating the central message revealed in Jesus is that God is light. Through this statement John hopes to state that God is perfect Truth and perfect goodness.
