In this message, we'll compare and contrast the priesthood...

1 Peter series message 7 Text: I Peter 2:1-8 In this message we engage a powerful passage that teaches us to grow up into our salvation: leave things behind, mature, keep moving forward. 1 Peter series message 6 Text: I Peter 1:22-25 Love one another earnestly from a pure heart, having purified your souls and because you've been born again through the living and abiding word of God. 1 Peter series message 4 Text: 1 Peter 1:13-21 Peter begins with the holiness of God; Paul closes his letter to the Romans by applying His holiness. The Holy Spirit is telling us that God's holiness amplifies His grace and provides a compelling call to live by the fear of God and not be conformed to worldly passions during our heavenward pilgrimage.   3 2 25 Be Sober-Minded Colin Se...

1 Peter series message 3 Text: 1 Peter 1:10-12 Previously, we preached through the breathtaking truths and implications of the gospel. In this message, Peter pulls the veil back to show that the Holy Spirit was working through Old Testament writers to point us to the blood-stained cross and the glorious gospel. Truely, we have been gifted and entrusted with the most valuable possession a...

1 Peter series message 2 Text: 1 Peter 1:3-9 Peter begins by unpacking the stupendous salvation we have in Jesus Christ. By His great mercy He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus. Our suffering of various kinds prepares us for glory, and therefore we are filled with joy though we have not seen Him with our eyes. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, as we are...

1 Peter series message 1 Text: I Peter 1:1-5 The relatable disciple is now filled with the Holy Spirit and boldly proclaiming the gospel despite intense persecution. The apostle's opening remarks are breathtaking and saturated with gospel truth to encourage and edify us, and also to prepare us to suffer for our testimony. 2 9 25 A Living Hope! Colin Seager

Text: 2 Timothy 1:16-18 In the previous message we saw God's gracious promise to never leave nor forsake us, and the many implications that has in our lives. A logical extrapolation of that truth is the human agency He often uses to accomplish His purposes in us. The Apostle Paul was often refreshed and ministered to by individuals we know very little about, how do we fit into the spirit...

Text: Psalm 23:4 The Apostle Peter tells us that God's divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence, by which He has granted us His great and precious promises . One of His precious promises is that He is always with us. He will never leave nor forsake us. This brings such comfort and courag...

Text: Romans 1:14-17 The gospel proclaims that Christ Jesus died for sinners to reconcile us to God, that He is the only mediator between God and man, and that Jesus Christ is Lord. 1 12 25 Union with Christ Geoff Frink

Text: 2 Timothy 4:2 Why should believers proclaim the Gospel? Because it is a direct command from Jesus to share the good news of salvation with all people, fulfilling their role as witnesses and bringing hope to others by sharing the power of Christ's sacrifice, which is considered the only way to achieve eternal life; essentially, it is an act of love and obedience to God to spread the mess...

Advent 2024 sermon series message 5 Text: Philippians 2:9-11 Let earth receive her King is the beautiful refrain we sing during Advent. Philippians 2 moves us from the humbleness of Jesus' advent, and His suffering and crucifixion, right through to His ascension and coronation. What better way to move on from the Advent Season than to declare the Lordship of Jesus and align ourselves fully to...

Advent 2024 sermon series message 4 Text: John 1:4 Risen with healing in His wings, by His stripes we are healed. All Scripture testifies to the new life Jesus brings, the healing He imparts and the hope He gives. That will be our focus this Sunday as we celebrate the Advent of Christ.  12 22 24 In Him was Life Colin Seager

Advent 2024 sermon series message 3 Text: Romans 1:16-17 The story of the Bible is the story of Jesus and redemption. From the moment sin entered the world, God put into motion a plan to reconcile sinners to Himself. Jesus was prophesied in Scripture, appearing in Bethlehem to destroy the works of the devil. Truly, worthy is the Lamb who became to us wisdom from God, righteousn...

Advent 2024 sermon series message 2 Text: Philippians 2:1-11 We use the term advent in conjunction with someone noteworthy or important. Never in the history of the world was there the advent of someone more important or noteworthy than the Son of God. And yet... Given the deity of Christ we examined in our previous message, His arrival was so humble and unassuming - not to mention His humili...

Advent 2024 sermon series message 1 Text: Hebrews 1:6 The Lamb is worshiped because of who He is and what He's done. Jesus is better than the angels and greater than the Patriarchs because He is no mere man, He is God. We'll trace this foundational truth throughout Scripture, noting that He commanded worship on that holy night when He appeared in Bethlehem. 12 1 24 The Majesty of His Person Colin...

Text: Colossians 3:1-4 As we land the plane on our mini-series on revival and personal renewal, we focus on a passage that sums it all up nicely. Christ is not the most important element of our life, He is our life. In light of His mercies, His grace, His unconditional love, our redemption, the precious blood and our inheritance, let us live unswervingly for Christ, remaining in Him, the true vine...

Text: Haggai 1:1-9 The Israelites were back in Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile. They lived in luxurious houses while God's House remained in ruins. Their misplaced priorities were at the root of the challenges they faced in life. The word of the Lord to them has application for us today. In light of the sobering message of God's judgment and also the eternal perspective, do we have mispl...

Text: Psalm 46 With the promise of His presence and assurance of His strength, the Psalmist calls us to trust in the Lord, give Him glory and take refuge in Him. 11 10 24 Be Still Colin Seager

Text: II Thessalonians 1:5-10 We've recently considered the holiness of God in Revelation, we now take a closer look at the subject of God's judgment. When we behold God's holiness in judgment, it naturally works within us a sober mindset. May we be deeply impacted by God's righteous execution of judgment and order our thoughts and our lives accordingly.  11 3 24 God's Righteous Judgment Coli...

Text: Hebrews 11:39-12:2 We face many challenges as we walk with the Lord, sometimes we feel like throwing in the towel. The good word given us is to not grow weary but to keep moving - keep walking, keep serving, keep loving, keep worshiping. There is great joy set before us! 10 27 24 Keep Moving Colin Seager

Text: Revelation 5 In the sequel to last week's passage, thousands upon thousands thunder the Declaration of Sonship - we who were dead in our sins and enemies of God, have been brought near, reconciled and redeemed. 10 20 24 Song of the Redeemed Colin Seager

Text: Revelation 4:1-11 A consistent theme in personal revival and renewal is a compelling vision of God's holiness; His glory. On Sunday we'll examine our redemption in light of God's holiness, which humbles, comforts and inspires us. It's a good word for each of us, especially for those raising kids.  10 13 24 Holy, Holy, Holy! Colin Seager
