Isaiah 29:13  says, “These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.

Ephesians 4:25 MSG / 25  What this adds up to, then, is this: no more lies, no more pretense. Tell your neighbor the truth. In Christ’s body we’re all connected to each other, after all. When you lie to others, you end up lying to yourself. Nihilism - the rejection of all religious and moral principles, in the belief that life is meaningless.

James 4:11-12 11 Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. 12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

When you know why, your passion for God radiates off of you.

Psalm 33:11 says, “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations."

In Matthew 1:21 When the angel of the Lord told Joseph about his son he told Joseph what to name the child saying “An she will bring forth a son and you shall call his name Yeshuah, for he will save his people from their sins”.

2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in accordance with His commandments  and  are guided continually by His precepts. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in love.

Titus 3:4-6 “But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy…”

Jeremiah 29:11 MSG says it this way - I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

Do not neglect present duties and privileges waiting on renewal. Doing so dims the soul and we fade along with our efforts. We need to be wisely improving present real time opportunities.

Jeremiah 12:6 Your relatives, members of your own family -- even they have betrayed you; they have raised a loud cry against you. Do not trust them, though they speak well of you. (NIV)

Romans 16:18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 AMP - For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.

What the Bible emphasizes and then God prioritizes, lets make them our priorities. If you were to define church just using the bible what would be the priority? Just as in your home family, your church family needs to prioritized by love.

The worst battle is between what we know and what we feel. Understand need.

Hebrews 13:12 , NLT: "So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to make his people holy by means of his own blood."

sycophant a person who acts attentive to excess toward someone important in order to gain advantage.

Do you remember when you were new to the church. There was a fire in your belly and you wanted to work. A Christian warrior in your heart ready to shout to the world. Fall on your knees God hears your plea’s. Open your heart and he’ll break your chains free. Do you remember that person? Do you remember that me?

Today, the same essence, energy, and power that breathed out God’s Word still reside in it.

He cares and he gives. One of the ways the world knows that he cares is if you and I who know him and love him and extend a helping hand to someone who needs it.

1 John 3:7 Whoever practices righteousness is righteous , as he is  righteous ." Its not because you prayed a certain prayer or got baptized or was 5 minutes early for church every week. No. Christ says because you practice. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous .

In Hebrews 5:12-14 “ For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. 2 Peter 3:9 God is patently Waiting on you - it says ‘The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance. God waits

What is your first response when someone damages you? Maybe you immediately become angry and want to retaliate. Or perhaps your outward expression doesn’t change, but inside you begin quietly nursing bitterness. Although these reactions come across us as understandable and perfectly natural, they're not how God tells us to respond.

In Colossians we are encouraged to clothe ourselves with “compassion, humility, kindness, gentleness and patience.” These qualities are like all the pieces in a matching set of clothes. He’s saying, in effect, “Get rid of your old, dirty, smelly clothes so that Jesus can give you the clothing of life.” Then “over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
