Senior Sessions

Congratulations Maeser Prep Class of 2025! Today we graduate. Which means today is our last episode of Senior Sessions. Jack Stevenson joined us on the podcast today! We talked about some of his favorite teachers, what he wanted to do after high school, being on the student council, and, of course, soccer. Who knew people would join us at Maeser their junior year?!  Dylan Hoover came to Maeser during his junior year, and he chats with us today about what it's like to start a new school, from public school to a charter school, and how it's been at Measer.  We loved getting to know Dylan better and could yap with him for hours. The one and only Mrs. Houghton is joining us on the podcast today! We both can't begin to express the impact that Houghton has had on both of our lives. In fact, this podcast probs wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for Houghton's art class. We loved yapping with Houghton about being a teacher and why she loves us all so much!

Maia Schreiner is on the podcast today. We are so excited to chat with her. We were died laughing when we were talking about what we were most excited about this year and talking about the spirit bowl. We also think everyone needs to here what Maia has to say to her younger self. Seriously some of the best advice ever.

We've got Jacob on the podcast! Jacob's family is kind of legend here at Maeser. He has had 5 of his 6 siblings go here. We talk about how he started to attend Maeser in 7th grade, his love of show choir and theater, and what his life is going to be like after graduation. 

It's another teacher epdisode today!  Mr. Glenn is here to talk all about teaching at Maeser, his favorite books and how to get the most out of Socratic classes. We loved recording this one.

Samira Sosa joins us and talks about soccer, how she spends her summers in Nicaragua with family, and we chatted about family science winterim that we were all a part of. I’m sure you all remember that crazy hail storm that happened this past year. We chatted about where we were when that happened, and how epic it was.  Thanks Samira!!! We are back and we have missed you!! Nothing like kicking off another term with the one and only Nolan Larsen.  This episode was a blast to record with Nolan.
