As we continue through the story of Jesus’  lineage, I’ll summarize the next few chapters to save time. Sarah dies  and Abraham buys his first plot of land in Canaan to bury her (Genesis  23). Imagine this: Hearing the clear voice of God telling you to sacrifice your only son, the son that you waited 25 years for! God promised Abraham when he was 75 years old that he would have descendants. That  would require having at least one son. However, his wife Sarah, was  barren at age 65. Surprisingly enough, God kept His promise and Isaac was born when Abe was 100 and Sarah was 90 ....

Both Abraham and Sarah laughed when the Lord told them that in a year’s  time, Sarah would become pregnant and bear Abraham a son. Sodom and Gomorrah — the first sin cities. God dealt with them  destroying them both with fire and brimstone — literally. Will what  happen then — that type of judgment, happen again in the last days? Yes !  Furthermore, Jesus clearly warns us, but it seems that like as the twin  cities of evil and depravity back then, the sinful people do not take  the warnings seriously....
