Scripture On Creation podcast

Some evolutionists claim that humans have an unsound spine because we evolved from an animal that walked on 4 legs, and as a result we experience back many problems.  We interview an expert on human physiology, Lt. commander Luke Scripture, to get his perspective on the issue.

Building upon the Lord's claim that He created the heavens and the earth, the Creator states He also controls the nations, i.e. the flow of history.  In addition to that "grand" control, He is even involved with Man on an individual level.

Psalm 33:9 is cited by "young earth" creationists as support for the position that the Creator accomplished His work in 6 days as "literally" recorded in Genesis 1. 

Evolutionists suggest that our knees are poorly designed (we shouldn't have to endure football injuries; tongue-in-cheek.  And pain in childbirth is another inexplicable flaw. 

Dr. Karen describes the fantastic complexity involving tissues and the materials they make during the development of teeth.  An example of "duct tape and lumber scraps"?--definitely not!

Is the human body designed or cobbled together?  Creationists and evolutionists have different explanations and point to different evidences to support their viewpoint.  Dr. Karen Scripture discusses the idea of crowded teeth.

The Creator is in control of the earth.  Descriptions of the power of God displayed in violent storms and earthquakes are reasons to ascribe GLORY to the Lord.  (This program was recorded after the earthquake and subsequent tsunami that devastated Japan in March of 2011.)

This Psalm refers to God founding the earth.  On that basis--as Creator--"the earth is the Lord's."  He determines who may enter His presence, He will come to earth according to His own will.

The testimony of God in the heavens is inescapable.  People on every continent and speakers of every language all "hear" the same declaration--the Creator God is great, and He is glorious!

This well known Psalm of David highlights the biblical truth that God is revealed in two main ways; in creation (especially in the heavenly bodies) and in His Word.  Nowhere on earth can His existence be denied since there is no place where the heavens are not visible.

A tiny worm larvae with brain and gut intact was found in China.  Perfectly preserved for-- according to evolutionists--520 million years.  The detail of this specimen is astounding and begs the question; could it really be that old.

Psalm 8 highlights the amazing power and grandeur of the Creator displayed in His "fingerwork."  In light of how great God is, David marvels that the Creator would care about him.

The Scripture On Creation program will begin a new series-Creation in the Psalms. Creation and the Creator are a major theme in the book of Psalms. We will be considering any passages related to creation or to God if He is identified as the Creator.  The 1st such Psalm is, Psalm 8.

Jesus' substitutionary death on the cross paid for all the sin of the world; it also redeemed a cursed creation.  For personal redemption, an individual must trust Jesus Christ's work on their behalf which He accomplished on the cross.  The creation will be set free from corruption when Christ returns.

Two of God's attributes are clearly displayed in creation.  The fixed order of the stars--His faithfulness; the dangerous and unpredictable storm--His power.

Scripture makes it clear that God does not change, e.g. Hebrews 13:8; however the heavens and the earth will at His command someday. 

When witnessing to an unbeliever he/she will often say, "I don't believe what the Bible says." therefore, quoting Scripture may seem useless.  One approach to that dilemma is to explain why YOU believe the Bible. 

The angels, including Lucifer who became Satan (among other names), are all created beings.  Some of the events involving Satan and the angels are discussed.

Cryptobiosis--an amazing ability of some creatures to go into stasis, shutting down ALL metabolic activity; but for 46,000 years and then come out "swinging?"  Some scientists claim a little worm they thawed out in Siberia did!

Birds seem to hold a special place in the created kinds God uses in the Bible.  From representing the Holy Spirit to being used to teach us important spiritual truths, birds are perhaps the most remarkable of creatures.

It is important to understand what the words of Scripture meant at the time they were written.  Many words (even bara generally translated "create) have more than one meaning; the context determines the specific meaning in any given sentence.
