School of Sellers: TPT Strategies, Tips, + Seller Stories

TPT FOMO is a thing and it sucks. The online world can often make it feel like you are the only one not doing something, or the one that is being left behind--surrounded by masterminds, and giveaways, and bundles, it's easy to feel like you are alone in this TPT world. Follow along for my best tips for turning this situation around. 

Stepping out of our comfort zones can lead to incredible things but can also be very scary. So what happens when circumstances force us to change before we are ready? Here's an interesting lesson I learned this year when I had no other choice but to change the way I do business.  

To say 2020 has been hard is an understatement. As we've been catapulted into a year of unknowns, running a business has been a challenge. While the year is far from over, I'm sharing with you today the lessons I've learned while running a business even when life feels heavy, hard, and filled with despair. 

Shiny objects and distractions are everywhere we look. I’m a sucker for pretty packaging, colorful spreadsheets, and free trials for organizational tools I know I don’t need. In this episode, instead of giving you more distractions, I talk about simple adjustments or hacks you can make using the tools you likely already employ in your business.

I’ve focused a lot on this show on mistakes I’ve made in my teacher seller business; I think we do learn a lot from our missteps. Today, I am flipping the script and sharing with you things I have done well. It’s an important reminder that we should celebrate our successes and give ourselves credit where it’s due--and that there is something to be learned from things that end well too.

In this episode, I talk to you about the most exciting discovery I’ve made in my business in the past year. It’s not always easy to find time to work, but scheduling workcations can totally turn your work time from zero to 60 (literally) in the click of a “book now” button.

Being a mom comes with an endless list of emotions and responsibilities. Running a business comes with its own set of tasks and obligations. Being a mom and a business owner? Yikes. In this episode, I talk about important mindsets for teacher seller moms to adopt in order to maintain a healthy attitude and also run a successful business. 

Don’t get me wrong--taking care of ourselves is the most important thing we can do in life. But when we are surrounded by trends and buzzwords, we can often misconstrue the message. In this episode, I share about the unique spin on self care in the teacher seller world.

The concern I hear most from teacher sellers is, “I don’t have time to do it all.” Juggling so many business tasks, along with our day-to-day obligations, is daunting to say the least. I’ve devoted the last 2 years of my life to finding a system that helps me accomplish it all and today I am giving you a peek.

The way you do things matters. We are fortunate in this business that many of our tasks are recurring. This means we have the opportunity to become ninjas with these tasks. I’ll show you how to take a look at what you’re currently doing and turn it into a system that will shave hours off your work time.

To-do list burnout is real and it’s awful. When we are faced with the same tasks day in and day out, our brain starts to shut down and our eyes glaze over. Eventually, our business suffers. I am sharing a technique I swear by to get all of the things done so you don’t have to look at the same obnoxious tasks every single day.

In this episode, Erin breaks down the ways you can make your content work harder for you. We have precious little time to spare, so when we spend it creating content of any sort, it’s in our best interest to use the hell out of it. Let’s explore the ways you can reuse, revamp, and repurpose your blog posts and social media posts so that you don’t have to create something new week after week.
