These were significant days. I'd had a day of rest on Tuesday in the lovely campground near Kleka which might have given me extra energy to absorb a lot from these days. And to not quail even when it was challenging.

Something like 'hump day' I pass the midway mark (direct route) on my march. This is encouraging. And there are moments of lovely weather .

These were hard weeks with four nights outside, two visits with the Polish Police and some let downs. Fortunately the Ukrainian forces are beginning to surge and I received many kindnesses. I made a lot of progress and began to believe I would succeed in reaching Berlin.

I flew to Warsaw on 25 March 2022. WEEK ONE starts on Monday the 28th with Poem: Day One read at the train station heading for the Polish border with Ukraine.

These are the 13 fundamental principles that explain why I made my 56 day March4Humanity which inspired the 40 poems that I will share on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the next few weeks.

My March4Humanity lasted 56 days. I was challenged often with " Why walk?" This chapter -- given in two episodes -- is my answer, therefore establishing the environment that begat the poems.
