There are few people we can depend on absolutely, and if we're really pushed, we'd probably admit we feel alone and abandoned too much of the time. This week, Lori Hartshorn steps through Psalm 23 and brings us the good news of Jesus's faithful guidance, pointing out how the loving hand of Jesus the Good Shepherd can guide us throughout our lives.

Life can be filled with a lot of challenges and disappointments. Sometimes it can feel like all hope is lost. But as Pastor Sam discusses, whenever we’re going through trials and tribulations turn to God through prayer and praise to invite Him into our circumstances. God’s faithfulness endures through generations, trust in Him because he’ll always make a way. 

There's a deep, aching loneliness in our culture. We are always seeking greater reputation, even fame. But as Pastor Angela discusses, when we come into the presence of the Lord, only there can we find our ultimate satisfaction. And that is only possible because of the gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ. 

Our lives are built around all sorts of different relationships, whether it's parent-child relationships, friend-to-friend relationships, or romantic relationships. This week, Pastor Lucas walks us through the divine relationship of Christ to his Church, his bride, and explores the metaphor of God as our devoted and ever-loving bridegroom. 

Who hasn't lain awake at night counting all the things they did that day that they shouldn't have, or the wrongs that others had done to them? As Pastor Dwayne Cline reminds us, all the anger and hate and wrongdoings of the world were borne by Jesus Christ so that we could have a relationship with the Father again, despite what we have done.

We all struggle to complete the ordinary tasks of every day. We each need to look and see what our power source is and turn instead to Jesus. Pastor Jon looks at the next name of God, The Lord of Hosts, and explores Biblical examples of the awesome power of God, The Lord of Hosts.

What's in a name? What does your name mean? Does it seem to say anything about you? This week Pastor Jon begins a new series looking at the names of God and what we can learn about Him through them.  

Pastor Sam and Pastor Jon join us together to review where we as a church have been this year and give us a vision of where we're going in the future. 

When did you first start attending what we now call Sanctus Church? Pastor Jon refreshes our vision of Sanctus, detailing the common faithfulness we hold with all other Christians and the unique assignment or calling that has been given to Sanctus Church.

The church is made up not only of leaders and the full congregation but of each individual member living in their own walk with Christ. Pastor Joel reminds us that it is our personal humbling through confession and repentance that allows us to realign ourselves with Christ's vision for us both personally and corporately as His church. 

Our weeks are full of voices pulling us in all sorts of directions and forming us as they do. Today, Pastor Jon reminds us that the most important voice of our lives - the one we need to know most well - is God's. We need to value and listen to His words and guidance as given to us through the Bible.

Opposition and barriers to doing the right thing come at unexpected times, but often we meet them just when we feel we can't overcome them. But as Pastor Ange reminds us, not only are these challenges to be expected but we have the everlasting hope of a mighty God who is powerful over all our barriers and can defeat all our oppositions.

It's exciting to start a new project with focus and enthusiasm, but after a while, it gets harder to keep the dedication up. Pastor Jon continues our foray into the book of Ezra, drawing our attention to how we as a church need to draw together and give what God has asked of us to truly continue the rebuilding with a spirit of Thanksgiving.

We never have everything under control. And just when we think we do, we hit that moment when we realize how wrong we are. Pastor Joel starts our journey through the book of Ezra, the first step in a rebuilding moment for Sanctus church, with our eyes focused on the God of everything. 

Ever wondered what exactly is baptism? Are there rules around it? Does it actually DO anything? On an exciting Baptism Sunday here at Sanctus, Pastor Jon reminds us what baptism is and isn't, and why we do it. 

He is risen! We joyfully celebrate the risen King Jesus on this Easter Sunday with a message from Pastor Jon. 

We come together this Good Friday with a message from Pastor Sam that reminds of us three things that happened there up on the cross: the sacrifice of Christ, the separation from the Father, and surrendering in silence.

Welcome to a special Palm Saturday celebration for Sanctus Church. Held at The River in south Whitby, Ontario, Palm Saturday was extra special as it brought all of Sanctus's sites together under one roof to worship our amazing God and listen to the Word brought by Jon Thompson.

We're all familiar with the phrase 'actions speak louder than words.' Imagine how eternally loud are the actions of God through His son Jesus Christ. As we continue our journey to Easter, Pastor Jon dives into the power released into the world - and the destruction of death itself - through Jesus's death and resurrection. 

What exactly did Easter do? In this first sermon focussing on the Easter season, Pastor Jon reminds us of the perfect atonement made for our sins by Jesus's death and resurrection.

When we feel overlooked, underappreciated, and even unseen by others, we need to remember that we are always seen by the One that matters, Jesus. Pastor Jon finishes up our time in Romans with assurances that God will carry us to the finish as we remain faithful in our service to Him.

Generosity should come more easily from those who have experienced it first-hand. Pastor Joel discusses how the gift of Jesus's Grace is one that needs to be passed on from Christian to Christian so that we can find unity as a body even when we don't have uniformity.  

Recent years have seen Christians engaging with the political in ways that do not represent their responsibilities well. Pastor Jon tackles the difficult subject of how Christians are to be loyal and enthusiastic citizens of our temporal government and how we are to love our neighbours -- regardless of their political or social opinions -- with acts of horizontal grace.

Do you sometimes wonder if people see you the same way you see yourself? Many times we judge others to be less than ourselves while making excuses for all our faults. Pastor Jon steps through the incredible Chapter 12 of the book of Romans and reflects back to us how God sees us, and how we are to humble ourselves in full sacrifice to the only eternal judge, Jesus. 

Daily we hear the wrong messages: you have to do more, you have to do better, you have to find the strength within yourself, by yourself, to do better for yourself. When the truth is, we can't -- not by ourselves.
