All this has been written! We've been in the gospel of John for 4 months! We saw Jesus have conversations, preform signs, speak of life and love, lay down his life, and ultimately rise again. This Sunday is our LAST Sunday in the Gospel of John. Pastor Sara will bring it all home and we talk about what this gospel has taught us and how we live differently because of who John reveals Jesus is. 

Do you love me? It’s not just an awesome 1960’s tune. It’s the question Jesus asked Simon Peter three times. Three! This week, we’ll explore that moment in John’s gospel and try to find the answer for ourselves with Rachel Horton preaching. Good times.

Christ is Risen! This risen Jesus has appeared to Mary, he's appeared in the upper room, and he's shown his wounds to Thomas. And he just keeps appearing! This Sunday, Pastor Ryan will look at another resurrection appear of Jesus in John's gospel--this time, Jesus is on the beach! What does this story of fish and disciples have to say to us today?

Christ is Risen! We have just a few weeks left in our Gospel of John series (it's been 3 months! Can you believe it?) Join us for these final stories of Jesus' post-resurrection appearances. We'll start this Sunday with Thomas! Thomas is famous for his doubts, but his story might have a lot to offer believers across the centuries.

Do you ever wonder what Jesus prayed about? Well for one, YOU! In the Gospel of John, Jesus ends his farewell discourse with a prayer. This Sunday, Pastor Ryan will give us a look at that prayer and the things that matter to Jesus.

We continue our Lenten series through Jesus' farewell discourse in the Gospel of John. So far, Jesus has washed feet, and talked about the coming of the Holy Spirit. The drama of John's Gospel pivots on one crucial story: the story of Jesus' friend Lazarus. Here all of Jesus' signs, sayings, and dialogues come to a head when he is confronted with the death of his friend. This Sunday, Pastor Kari Reiten will join us to continue our sermon series on the Gospel of John. We'll be looking at the Woman at the Well, a story where history, culture, gender, and faith all collide. What is this living water Jesus speaks of? And how does it help us get eternal life?

Here is our quarterly finance update with Salt House Treasurer, Irwin Dolobowsky. We value transparency at Salt House and plan four congregational updates a year. We are halfway through this fiscal year (which runs July 1-June 30) so it's a good time for us to evaluate where we are at with our budgeted giving and expenses.

And it comes from this really famous conversation that Jesus has with a man named Nicodemus. But sometimes when something is so familiar, we miss how powerful and inspiring that thing is! Merry Christmas! Jesus' birth across the four gospels looks different. But one thing they can all agree on is that God's gift to us the promise of "with-ness": God With Us. What does it mean to receive this gift and also, understand that it's a gift big enough to share, to re-gift!

Plus, Zach Herzog rounds out our Advent Journey through the Gospels with a short homily on God With Us according to Matthew's Gospel.

The Gospel of Luke gives us a unique look into "God With Us," which is totally different Christmas flavor than how the other three Gospels tell it. Luke centers on Mary and the Holy Spirit. This Sunday, we invite Karen Ullery (who is also leading our Advent Yoga sessions on Wednesdays) to share a good word with us. Prepare to be filled with awe, wonder, and goodness.
