Many books and advice from well-meaning people often get the first step in building relationships wrong. The Bible tells us that cultivating a love for others must start with a love for God, and this love FOR God begins with love FROM God.

Love. We all hope to give and receive it in some way to someone sometime in our lives. Yet it can be easily misunderstood, misused, or misguided. Pastor Justin Greene pulls some observations out of Mark chapter 12 about what God says love is and looks like.

As we head into a new ministry year at SHC, Pastor Pete Potloff gives us a charge to focus on three things: Seeking Christ continually, worshipping corporately, and praying consistently.

God built the need for connection into our nature. We will never have everything figured out on our own, and there will inevitably be times when we need a hand (often times, quite literally). Pastor Justin Greene presents several observations on the importance of connection, especially within the body of believers.

God made each person different. It is through these differences that the body of Christ functions and ministers across cultures, circumstances and generations.
